About the local area
The village of Bonnieux, just 3 km away, has a rich and varied history and is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Luberon.
In summer the village is really popular and therefore has some great restaurants and cafés. Although not very big, it has some useful and interesting shops, including bakers, butchers, grocery, pharmacy, post office and tourist information centre. There's also a local market on a Friday.
The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Maubec) on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
Just a short drive away there's a great Sunday morning market at Coustellet and the larger town of Apt is only 15 minutes away
There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.
REVIEWS
Delightful rental with a beautiful garden and pool area. Very comfortable and attractive house with loads of privacy. It was easy to get into Bonnieux with the car or via the GR for those who are more ambitious and like to walk. The house was also ideally located for biking around the Luberon and exploring the area.

Helen, we are having a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and really well equipped. We got in early with no problem. Our host brought us two bottles of Luberon wine. And we are exploring the local towns. This is exactly the Provence we had hoped to experience.

Really lovely villa. Brilliant set up for our party (elderly couple had the downstairs bedroom with terrace doors and bathroom next door). Everyone else very happy with their rooms and bathroom. Aircon a huge bonus. Gorgeous garden, brilliant pool which was a great size and lovely water temperature (wasn`t heated and didn`t need to be). Plenty of comfortable loungers and chairs, and big umbrellas for shade, which was needed! The owner was charming and helpful and available when needed but otherwise unobtrusive. They do have dogs, one of which came round to see us a lot - fine by us but wouldn`t be ideal for anyone scared of them. Great location, very easy to get into Bonnieux and beyond but felt tranquil and secluded and away from it all.

It is absolutely wonderful, thank you! You have the best accommodations!! You never let us down so must know us well!

The home was lovely as were the owners. I wish that I could have conveyed to them how much we appreciated the care they took in their home and that we enjoyed our stay. We would certainly consider using this property again were we to travel to Provence.

Villa Fleurie is an ideal vacation rental. It is located in a peaceful, quiet and convenient location in the countryside with beautifully landscaped grounds. Only three kilometers from the charming town of Bonnieux, it is centrally located for day trips throughout the Luberon. The property is well-equipped and the owners very welcoming and responsive.
Mrs B, USA, Oct 2017
It was perfect for our requirements - the terrace was ideal for dining out - even up to 10.30 at night. Downstairs bedroom and shower were ideal for my mother who couldn`t have accessed the stairs.
Beautiful garden, wonderful pool, lovely villa. Friendly owners next door, there if we needed to ask anything but never intrusive. It was good to know they were available.
The hosts very kindly gave us 2 bottles of wine and their very own olive oil.

Mrs H, UK, July 2014
It was as advertised. It was in excellent order. We did miss having a book with local information which we usually find at villas - sites to see, restaurants to use, etc. But otherwise it was a lovely gite, and everyone was pleased.
Mr L, UK May 2013
Our second visit to Villa St Fleurie. We loved it as much as the first time. Peace and quiet, sunny skies, nice views, lovely villages in the neighbourhood, ... Although the owners live close by, the property is very private. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. A good rental at a fair price.
Mrs F, Belgium, April 2013
The accommodation was perfect in every way & far exceeded our expectations. The owners met us with great warmth & kindness. Our grown up children joined us for the last couple of days & the location quite simply took their breath away. Fantastic.
Mrs S, UK Sept 2012
It was delightful, we wish we could have stayed longer. Madame was a very thoughtful and kind hostess.
Mrs C, UK, June 2006
The owners were very hospitable and invited us in for a drink when we arrived as our villa was still being cleaned. We were thoroughly impressed with the standard of accommodation and the surrounding gardens. We couldn`t have chosen a better property and we also loved the village of Bonnieux. We would definitely return to this property in the future.
Mrs K, London, UK, June 2006
Very well equipped, have visited in 2014 & 2016. The pool is unheated & takes a little getting used to. Ms W, West Midlands, September 2016
Absolutely fabulous. On arrival it had the Wow! factor. Mr W, Essex, August 2016
