It’s located in quiet, residential area and walking distance from beautiful old Provenc¸al village of Valbonne. Villa is situated in quiet residential area within 10 minutes walking distance from historic and residential beautiful little old town of Valbonne. With its historic centre sheltered by its rampart of village houses, conserving its charm, it is delightful place to visit. Valbonne has plenty of restaurants, elegant fashion shops, antique dealers and interior decoration boutiques. Boulangerie in Valbonne village is 10 minutes walking and another boulangerie just outside of the village is 2 minutes by car. Italian style restaurant/pizzeria is 2 minutes drive and in medieval village of Valbonne you'll find selection of restaurants and bars, various specialist shops like wine shops, delicatessens, fromageries and patisseries. Golf d’Opio Valbonne and Royal Mougins Golf Club are a few minutes by car from villa. Various sports facilities such as Mouratoglou Tennis resort is 10 km away (10 minute drive). Nautipolis with swimming pool and many other sport activities is 10 minutes by car. Excellent Valbonne Provençal Market (farmers market) with great selection of food, jewellery, clothes, household goods and food is every Friday morning. Biot Provençal market takes place regularly on Tuesdays. Beautiful and accessible river walks along the river Brague. Famous glassmakers in Biot are 15 minutes by car.

Elegantly furnished, it features large built-in wardrobe, dressing table, armchair, two bedside tables and large king size bed (180cm wide), with view overlooking villa entrance. Another upstairs double bedroom is bright and airy with double bed (140cm wide), fitted wardrobe, small desk and chair, with pleasing view of garden and pool. Third upstairs double bedroom is both luminous and stylish, featuring double bed (140cm wide), fitted wardrobe and space for baby cot, also overlooking garden and pool. All bedrooms are fully air-conditioned.

Bathrooms: three very stylish bathrooms/shower rooms. Upstairs spacious independent bathroom is tastefully adorned with large bathtub featuring shower, double washbasin, heated towel rail and hairdryer. Master bedroom upstairs has en-suite shower with rain shower, washbasin, heated towel rail and hairdryer. Ground floor shower room is equipped with shower, washbasin, W/C and heated towel rail. Additional independent W/C with washbasin is also located upstairs.

Other rooms: Garage with laundry area on the ground floor comes with washing machine/dryer, sink, cleaning products and storage cupboards. Accessible from kitchen, it is conveniently located next to ground floor shower room.

Pool is open from May to September and can be heated for added comfort.

Taxe de Séjour: usually necessary to pay in France (tourist tax), is calculated based on the number of people in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. We will advise you of the tax due at the time you make your reservation and how it’s to be paid.

Damage deposit: 1000 Euros per stay to make it in advance with JDV by way of credit card. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

Change over day: normally Saturday, on request other days as long as overall stay is a minimum of one week

Villa is well located (10 minutes from the motorway) for easy drive to the beaches of Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Sanremo (Italy) and Co^te d’Azur in general. There is also regular local bus service to Cannes, Grasse, Biot and Antibes. The nearest airport is in Nice which is around 25 km.

Excellent Valbonne Provençal Market (farmers market) with great selection of food, jewellery, clothes, household goods and food is every Friday morning. Biot Provençal market takes place regularly on Tuesdays. Boulangerie in Valbonne village is 10 minutes walking and another boulangerie just outside of the village is 2 minutes by car. Italian style restaurant/pizzeria is 2 minutes drive and good selection of various restaurants, bars and cafés in Valbonne village. Super U in Plascassier is 5 minutes by car and Carrefour Market Valbonne is less than 10 minutes by car.

Sporting activities in the area are abundant – there are many superb golf courses within 5 to 10 minutes drive away. Golf d’Opio Valbonne and Royal Mougins Golf Club are few minutes by car from villa. Various sports facilities such as Mouratouglou Tennis resort is 9 km away (10 minutes drive) as well as Nautipolis with swimming pool and many other sport activities. You also have beautiful and accessible river walks along the river Brague. There is also horse riding, water sports and of course, the beach. You are in very close proximity to mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region, which makes walking/hiking and cycling very popular.

Beaches can be found just 20 minutes’ drive away in Cannes, where there is also a wonderful seaside promenade for walking, jogging, cycling and rollerblading. A little further to the west, there are sandy beaches of Mandelieu and The´oule-sur-Mer. To east there are sandy beaches of Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, etc. until you’ll find yourself on famous ‘Promenade des Anglais’ in Nice. Nautical Base at Mandelieu-la-Napoule and Ponteil and Salis beaches in Antibes offer windsurfing, hobbiecats and kayaks, etc.

The ski station of Greolieres-les-Neiges is around 45km away which makes for a great day out on the slopes; or for higher skiing Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are around 2 hour’s drive. All of the ski stations are also ideal for refreshing walking and cycling during the hot summer months.

Getting around by car is recommended, however there is bus stop just 2 minutes from villa, which offers good bus connection between Sophia Antipolis, Grasse, Antibes and Nice, stopping at Nice-Cote d’Azur airport. Nearest train station is approximately 20 minutes away at Biot and Antibes and this provides excellent train service along the coast.

Historic and residential Valbonne is a very beautiful little old town, built in a peaceful valley bursting with Mediterranean vegetation. With its historic centre sheltered by its rampart of village houses, conserving its charm, it is delightful place to visit. The village has plenty of restaurants, elegant fashion shops, antique dealers and interior decoration boutiques. Famous glassmakers in Biot are 15 minutes by car.

Other delightful places to visit and just short drive from the villa, include: • Pont du Loup, which features a traditional French sweet factory for children. • Town of Grasse and its perfumeries. • Perched villages of Gourdon and Tourettes-sur-Loup with views of sea. • Famous village of St. Paul-de-Vence and its art galleries. • Old town and Matisse Chapel of Vence. • Medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes. • Picturesque village of Tourettes-sur-Loup. • Nice and its old town and port. • Menton for its old-town and promenade. • Nearby towns and marinas of Antibes & Cannes. • A trip to glamorous Monaco and then over the border to experience the flavours of Italy! • Other entertainment includes exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, wine tasting, art galleries, water park ‘Aquasplash’ & Marineland in Biot, ‘Ludi Park’ of activities (ideal for families)
