Living room: The living room, with a high ceiling and open stairs to the upper floor bedrooms is very tastefully decorated and equipped with a comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV and DVD player, plus a CD player and stereo.
Kitchen: The modern, light and airy, well-equipped kitchen has everything that you’re likely to need, including a fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and gas hobs. Adjacent to the kitchen, with French doors leading out to the terrace, is a spacious dining area with table and chairs.
Bedrooms: There are four bedrooms at this property, two of which are on the ground floor. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms, so the villa comfortably sleeps 8. . There are 3 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 2 singles. All are simply, but stylishly furnished with brand new bedding and furniture.
Bathrooms: The master bedroom, downstairs, has an en-suite shower room. There's a second bathroom with a shower downstairs and a separate W.C. Upstairs there’s another bathroom with shower and W.C.
Outside: There is a lovely, landscaped, private garden of 300m2 plus a large shaded terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a BBQ area. The lawn area has automatic watering and a gardener visits once a week. There is ample parking for 2 cars.
Swimming Pool: The shaded terrace overlooks the lovely, tiled pool, 8 x 4.5 m with an alarm and entry steps. The pool is usually open from mid May to the end of September, weather permitting. The shallow end is 1.35m and the deep end is 1.60m.
Internet:.Wifi is available at the villa.
Baby facilities: A cot and high chair are available free of charge upon request, so just let us know what you’ll need when you book.
Gas, electric, & water: these are all included in the rental cost.
End-of-stay cleaning: The owner arranges end-of-stay cleaning for a fee of 90 euros. Please pay this to the owner on arrival
Bedding and household linen is included in the cost of the holiday, towels can be rented for 8 euros per person per week. Please remember to bring your own pool towels.
In France it is necessary to pay a taxe de sejour (tourist stay tax) and this is calculated based on the number of people (adults) in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. It is 2.00 euros per adult per night, payable with your booking reservation.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 300 euros, payable on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Pets: Well-behaved pets are accepted at this property; please let us know when you make your reservation.
Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible.
Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.
About the local area
Slap bang in the middle of the stunning Alpilles range of hills (big hills!) but only 500m from the village centre of Le Paradou where there's a selection of local shops.
The local landscape is dominated by olive groves and vineyards, and many of the local villages offer tours of the 'olive press' mills - a good option if you need to escape the Provencal sunshine for a while!
If you like to explore the local Provencal markets, you’ll be spoilt for choice! There are some excellent Paysan Markets where you will find local produce, grown and sold by some real characters!
With good restaurants in abundance in this area, it’s not difficult to spoil yourself – holidays aren’t for dieting!
The Alpilles hills are on the doorstep and the area is popular with sports and countryside lovers. There are some fantastic walks, cycle routes and mountain bike tracks close by and the area is well known for rock climbing. If you've got the energy you can also try horse riding, golf, tennis and canoeing.
Further afield, but still within easy reach are the well know, pretty villages of the Luberon hills - Bonnieux, Menerbes, Lacoste...The sea is under an hour away, with the beautiful Callanques of Marseille to explore as well as any number of the local fishing ports you can find on the coast.
If its culture you're after don’t miss Saint Remy de Provence for its Roman architecture and the fortified hill top village of Les Baux de Provence (the 2nd most visited site in France).
