About the local area
The gite is ideally situated in St Remy de Provence with easy access to explore Provence, the Luberon and the Carmargue and wonder at the architectural artefacts left by the Romans.
St Remy de Provence retains the charm of an old market town and yet provides plenty of facilities.
It is actually blessed with 60 restaurants (some number for a small market town!) as well as local shops and a weekly market.
It is great for walking and cycling and relaxing with a picnic under the heavenly scent of the pine trees and wild herbs of the countryside.
Local activities are plentiful: golf, horse riding, tennis, gliding, hot air ballooning, rock climbing, mountain bike riding and of course the coast and beaches which are all just an hour away.
REVIEWS
Compact but more than adequate for 2 people. Insect screens needed on windows as we could not have them open in the evenings and it was unpleasantly warm inside! Complex overall was beautiful, so peaceful, lovely pool, excellently maintained grounds. Excellent WiFi. St Rémy itself is lovely but so full of traffic, day and night
