Just 8 minutes’ walk from the sandy beach, with magnificent blocks of granite, and 4 kms from the nearest village, the villa’s ideally placed to reach from the airport at Figari. At Bonifacio the beautiful, perched citadel and port is also very close by.
It has a maximum occupancy of 8 (plus babies) and would be perfect for a large family, or group of friends, looking to relax and enjoy the local beaches and towns.
Property Features
Living room: spacious with seating for 8 people, around fireplace and TV (satellite), corner salon with coffee table. Two sets of doors open out to gardens and electric fan available.
Dining room: combined within living room, with extendable table & chairs for 8 people.
Kitchen: modern and well-equipped with electric hob, hood, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge (2), freezer (2), toaster, coffee machine & kettle. Long table for breakfasting and door leads out to covered dining terrace with grill, oven and small BBQ.
Utility room: from kitchen with washing machine, iron & ironing board.
Bedrooms: four in total, all with ceiling fans. Master on the first (upper) floor on its own, 11sqm with super-king bed (200x200cm), two windows having southerly views towards Sardinia and easterly towards the tower and its own wet room shower. Then on ground floor, two 12sqm bedrooms with king beds (180x200) and doors to south-facing terraces and gardens; plus one 10sqm bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200), west facing and with ensuite shower room.
Bathrooms: three in total and three independent WC’s. On first floor 7sqm shower room with washbasin and window; then on ground floor one 12 sqm bathroom with bath, shower, washbasin and window, and one 8sqm shower room ensuite to twin bedroom with washbasin. Three independent WC’s. Hairdryer available.
Outside: there’s 1000 (out of 5000) sqm of lawns with lovely fruit trees. Covered terrace off the kitchen has long table & chairs for 8, barbeque, pizza oven & grill; plus another table & chairs for 8 facing south out in the exterior. Further small wooden terrasses outside two ground floor bedrooms. Boules available. Parking for up to 6 vehicles.
Swimming pool: not available here but the sea and beaches are just 8 minutes’ walk!
Internet: available for your devices.
Baby facilities: baby cot and highchair available upon request.
Bed & bathroom linen: included in the rental.
Gas, electric & water: all included in the rental.
Winter heating: priced separately and calculated according to meter readings at the beginning and end (please ask for details), paid directly to the owner.
End-of-stay cleaning: priced separately, so if you are staying for more than 1 week you are not paying in duplicate. It’s 150 Euros and paid directly to the owner.
Taxe de Séjour: included in rental.
Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 1000 Euros by cheque (not cashed) on arrival. Alternatively, it’s possible here to make this in advance with JDV by way of a credit card. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Changeover day: flexible. Arrival time normally 17h00 and departure please by 10h00.
Long weekend stays: not possible here - sorry. Minimum 7 nights but 14 are preferred.
Pets: permitted upon request - please before booking.
Smoking: permitted here
About the local area
Local shops, boulangerie, street markets and supermarkets can be found just 4 kms away in the village of Pianottoli-Caldarello Viagenti and the nearest restaurant just 2 kms. Further facilities can be found in Corsica’s most southerly town of Bonifacio, including markets, many restaurants and the old citadel.
Sporting activities in the area are abundant – there is sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, deep-sea diving, fishing & spear diving, many water sports, tennis and of course the beaches. Hiking, promenades and cycling are also very popular.
Beaches can be found just 500 metres away at the Plage San Giovanni, with its magnificent boulders of granite, and also Plage Pianottoli-Caldarello; plus many more in the region.
Getting around you have the local bus services 1.5 km away, but a car is preferred from here. There are 4 airports in Corsica servicing flights from many destinations, but the nearest is Figari
Sightseeing is endless; you have the historical old towns of Bonifacio and Porto Vecchio, the many marinas with visiting superyachts, a drive down the stunning west coast, the sandy beaches of the east coast, hiking in the mountains where you’ll see many wild animals – for more see https://www.visit-corsica.com/. It’s also possible to sail over to Sardinia to experience the flavour of Italy!
