Property Description

A beautiful farmhouse (Mas) in a prime location with a private pool and landscaped gardens.

The house is a 5 minute drive from the village centre of Bonnieux, with amazing views, tranquility and privacy.

The photos show the views over the 5000 sqm of private grounds.

The interior is bright and spacious. Every room on the ground floor opens onto a lovely terrace, a perfect spot to relax or enjoy al fresco dining.

45 min to the TGV station of Avignon and 75 min to the international airport of Marseille Provence.

Property Features

The living room is spacious, light and beautifully furnished - with a TV, Satellite channels, wifi access and stereo. Large double doors lead out to the shaded terrace and gardens.

The kitchen, adjacent to the living area has large range oven, beautiful beamed ceiling and all the modern gadgets and utensils you will need for a self catering stay.

There's a washing machine and dryer, along with a study, for some quiet time

There are 4 bedrooms in total, 1 double on the ground with doors out to the terrace, gardens and pool. This room has a private en-suite with a free standing bath and polished, concrete flooring

Upstairs are 3 more bedrooms, 2 double and a room with 2 singles. They are all nicely furnished with soft colors and a Provencal touch.

There are 2 shower rooms upstairs and the en-suite bathroom downstairs.

Outside: There's 5000 m² of land with the house, all beautifully landscaped and maintained.

There's plenty of secure, private parking space. 

The swimming pool measures 10 x 5 metres, has wide entry steps and is protected by a pool alarm. The pool is generally open each year from May to the end of September

There's an electric BBQ and 3 patio areas with outdoor furniture so you can choose where to relax and dine.

Gas, electric, & water: are all included in the rental cost.

End-of-stay cleaning: is included in the rental cost.

Internet – Wifi access is available at the villa.

Bed & bathroom linen: is included in the rental cost.

In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” for your stay. This is calculated on the number of adults in your party and number of nights you stay, payable when you make your reservation. Please note that this French tax cannot exceed 2.53 € per night and per adult.

The owner requests a damage deposit prior to your arrival and this is taken by credit card authorisation. It is refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

Change over day is Saturday in the summer months. 

Pets are not permitted at this villa - sorry.

Smoking is not permitted

About the local area

The local village of Bonnieux is just a 5 min drive away and is well serviced with bakers, butchers, grocers, bank post office and many small village shops. There are also a number of restaurants, one or two of which have very good reputations and are well known in the area.

The village itself is well worth exploring. It is one of the famous perched villages and is set on the side of a hillside. The village has many different levels as it climbs the hill, with different squares, cobbled streets and passages all waiting to be explored. 

It's also a great location for touring and leisure; there are a number of the Grand Randonnée hiking routes that pass by the village and the Cavaillon to Apt Cycling route also runs by the village. 

The view from Bonnieux is out over the plain of the Luberon, with vineyards, fields and cherry orchards.  Further in the distance you can see other tiny medieval villages, also perched on hills but on the other side of the valley. 

There is a weekly market on a Friday and as well as the usual small village shops, there are cafes, bars and restaurants, all of which are within walking distance of this house, only a stroll away from the centre of the village. Markets can also be found at a host of other local towns; Cavaillon, Roussillon, Coustellet and Apt to mention just a few. 

The closest Supermarkets are either in Cavaillon or Apt.
