Gite St Gilbert, a 17th-century property, is located in Apt, facing the Luberon Natural Regional Park.
It offers a private outdoor swimming-pool, kept spotlessly clean without the use of chlorine, a botanical garden and private terraces. Guests can enjoy views over the mountains and the garden.
It has 2 private terraces, a dining area and a well equipped kitchenette with oven and refrigerator. Extra facilities include a fireplace and outdoor furniture.

Please note, the stairs are too steep for young children or guests with low mobility.
Property Features
This large property is divided in half so that the owners live in one wing and the Gite is independent, with separate rooms, terraces and a private pool.
It's handy to have the owners next door in case you need any help, but otherwise they are very discreet.
Living area: The living/dining area is furnished to a high standard, with a sofa bed and fireplace. There's a Bose surround sound stytem and TV.
Kitchen Area: has pretty much everything that you’ll need including oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine crockery and utensils. There's a table and chairs if you chose to eat inside.
Bedroom: This is comfortable and well furnished, with a double bed and a single bed - ideal for 3 adults or 2 adults and an older child. Please note, the stairs are too steep for young children.
Bathroom: Has a bath, basin and toilet
Outside: The well-maintained garden is a haven and wonderful place to relax. You can choose to eat outside in the shade, or just relax and enjoy the views and plants.
Swimming pool: The private pool, 8 x 5 m, has an alarm and provides a welcome relief from the heat of the long, warm, Provencal summer days!
Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental
Internet: Wifi access is available at this villa.
End of stay cleaning: The owner arranges end-of-stay cleaning, and this is included in the cost of your holiday.
Bed & bathroom linen: Bed linen and towels are included in the cost of your holiday but you will need to bring towels for the swimming pool.
In France it is necessary to pay a taxe de sejour (tourist stay tax) and this is calculated based on the number of people (adults) in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. We will advise you of the tax due at the time you make your reservation.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 500 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible
Pets: We’re sorry; pets are not permitted at this property.

About the local area
The house is in a very convenient location, close to the old town area of Apt and only a 10 minute walk from the Sainte-Anne Cathedral.
Cavaillon train station is a 35-minute drive away.
Avignon TGV station is only 45 mins drive from Apt
If you want to explore the area, the winding roads of the Luberon have spectacular views and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieux) on the doorstep.
Apt town has a wonderful market, as do many of the smaller villages in the region - there's one to visit every day of the week!
There's lots to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
