Apartment St Matthias is a beautiful 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment set in the heart of the popular village of Bonnieux

Close to the medieval ramparts of the historic village of Bonnieux, this property is ideally situated for access to village’s amenities, yet just minutes from the serene beauty and plethora of activities provided by the Luberon countryside
With a southwest-facing terrace, the apartment is perfect for a bit of quiet relaxation during the warm Provencal summers

Bathrooms: The property has two shower rooms and one separate toilet, all located off the main hallway.
Outside: The property can be reached using a lift, rather than climbing stairs. The property has two southwest-facing terraces, providing plenty of space to lounge about enjoying that Provencal sunshine in privacy! There's also a parking space reserved for the apartment, and keycode entry, for that peace of mind.
Swimming pool: The shared swimming pool (measuring 8m x 5m) is perfect for a refreshing dip during the summer, and has an inclined entrance, making it ideal for those that don’t want to take a sudden plunge! It is open from May to September and heated at the beginning and end of the season.

Winter heating: Winter heating is included in the rental cost
Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.

About the local area
The village of Bonnieux has a history and is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Luberon.
In summer the village is really popular and therefore has some great restaurants and cafés. Although not very big, it has some useful and interesting shops, including bakers, butchers, grocery, pharmacy, post office and tourist information centre. There's also a local market on a Friday.
The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Maubec) on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
Just a short drive away there's a great Sunday morning market at Coustellet and the larger town of Apt is only 15 minutes away.
There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence
If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.
Well equipped, spacious, lots of places to sit and relax, amazing pool area. Christian (the house keeper) was incredibly helpful and bent over backwards to sort out the lack of hot water when we arrived.
It was Lovely perfect for our needs.

We loved the St. Matthias apartment. It was very good for our family group of six. We loved Bonnieux as it is less touristy than many of the other hill towns. The view from the apartment is fantastic. We had a brilliant sunset over the plain each night. We enjoyed the pool too.

Well appointed, well maintained, spacious apartment. Lovely pool area. Friendly helpful onsite manager was a bonus.
Mrs K, Canada, July 2013
Great place, lovely pool. Owner very helpful lady. Would suggest a hairdryer and possibility of ordering a welcome pack (milk, bread, etc) as the local supermarket was shut when we needed initial supplies. A comments book with some info on nearby activites, restaurants and where guests could leave recommendations of good finds would really help as the local tourist info had little in English.
