The gite has 2 bedrooms (a double and 2 singles), 1 bathroom, a well-equipped, modern kitchen and comfortable living room.
Outside is a large, private terrace, facing South-West with panoramic views of Mont Ventoux and Old Oppede.
The huge garden and large, fenced pool are shared with the owner’s property and another cabin in the grounds. The scale and layout of the gardens ensures there’s plenty of space and privacy for all guests.
Just 1 km away is the charming and historic village of Oppede where there are some shops and a bakery. It’s a great village to explore on foot and has wonderful views from its perched position on the hill.
The Gite: Comfortable and of high quality, Gite St Armond has 4 rooms, split over a floor space of 65m2.
The kitchen: is very well equipped with a large fridge freezer, oven, microwave, hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fan and vacuum cleaner and iron. There is a dining table with four chairs, along with plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery for 4 people.
Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the second with two single beds.
Bathroom: There's a modern bathroom and WC.
Outside: The private terrace is 58m2 and faces South-West with lovely views over the surrounding countryside and villages, ideal for eating al-fresco or relaxing with a glass of local wine....
Garden: The owner's property and 2 gites share the mature gardens, covering 5000m2 of private land. This has some beautiful old trees, offering shade in the height of the Summer and is great for children to explore and play. There's a swing set, baby-foot table and children's games.
Swimming pool: The pool measures 12 x 6m and is fenced. It's shared with the other guests

Winter heating: This is included in the rental cost.
Gas, electric, & water: Are all included in the rental cost
End-of-stay cleaning: The owner of the gite organises the end of stay cleaning and there is a fee of 50 euros, payable locally please.
Bed & bathroom linen: If you don't wish to bring your own, bedding and towels can be hired locally for 30 euros per bedroom.
In France it is necessary to pay a taxe de sejour (tourist stay tax) and this is calculated based on the number of people (adults) in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. We will advise you of the tax due at the time you make your reservation.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 300 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

About the local area
Oppede le Vieux (old) is an ancient, fortified, hilltop village, built on a rocky outcrop, overlooking the Lubereon and it’s many picturesque villages such as Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieux, Lacoste and Roussillon.
Leave your car at the base of the village and explore the narrow streets and 12th Century church.
The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find many picturesque and markets on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.
There is a huge choice of local markets selling fresh breads, vegetables, cheese and herbs, all within a short drive. You could visit the bustling Farmers market in Coustellet or Cavaillon market, famous for melons!
