It’s a popular choice as the Mas benefits from a rural setting but is also within easy reach of the local village of Les Vigneres and the stunning Luberon villages and markets. It’s also just a short drive from the bustling town of Cavaillon.
Mas St Dora is set over 3 floors with, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable living/dining room.
Outside you can relax and enjoy a cool drink or ice-cream by your private pool.
Evenings at the Mas are what you make of them: enjoy pre-dinner drinks beside the pool before heading out to a nearby restaurant, be the chef and cook ‘en plein air’ at the poolside barbecue, or just enjoy your home-cooked meal surrounded by rows and rows of apple trees.
The local area is noted for fine restaurants, interesting villages and easy access to great walking and cycling trails through the hills.
The Mas: Comfortable and of high quality, Mas St Dora has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, The living room is a great place to relax, with a TV, DVD and iPod player.
The kitchen: is very well equipped with a fridge freezer, oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. There’s plenty of utensils, crockery and cutlery for 8 people.
Laundry Room: There’s a washing machine available for your use (nominal fee)
Bedrooms: There are 3 bedrooms in total; on the first floor is a lovely double bedroom with a Juliette balcony, overlooking the private pool. On the second floor is a large family bedroom with a double bed and 2 single beds (which are ideal for children or can be configured as a small double). There’s also another double bedroom, accessed via the family room.
Bathrooms: On the first floor there’s a family bathroom with Juliette balcony, hand basin unit, shower cubicle, bath and WC. In addition, there’s another shower room with hand basin and WC.
Air Conditioning: is available in the family suite on the second floor.
Outside: The Mas is a rural setting, with plenty of space to relax in either the sun or the shade. There’s a BBQ, outdoor furniture, darts board, table tennis and swingball.
Swimming pool: The private pool measures 6 x 7 m and is 1.5m deep. The entire pool area is fenced off and the pool itself is protected by an alarm.
Internet: Wifi access is available at the Mas.
Gas, electric, & water: Are all included in the rental cost – except for Winter rentals, please ask for details.
Catering: If you’d like to have a home-cooked meal prepared ahead of your arrival, then this can be arranged in advance (Nominal fee)
End-of-stay cleaning: The owner of the house organises the end of stay cleaning and this is included in the rental price.
Bed & bathroom linen: Bed linen, bathroom and pool towels are all provided for.
Babies and Children: Are very welcome and there’s a high chair, cot (please bring your own bedding) and stair gate fixed at the top of the second floor staircase.
Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It is 1.10 euro per adult per night, payable on arrival please.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 300 Euros in cash on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Change over day: Saturday
Pets: sorry, no pets are allowed at this property.
Smoking: is not permitted.
About the local area
Located just outside Cavaillon, between Avignon (20km) and Aix en Provence (54km), Mas St Dora lies within 7 acres of apple orchards and is within easy reach of towns such as Gordes, L’Isle sur la Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Menerbes and Bonnieux.
There is an abundance of hiking trails in the area, enabling you to explore the region on foot. Your hosts can provide maps and information upon request. If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, road cycling and mountain biking.
Most of the local villages and towns host interesting markets offering a selection of fruit, vegetables, breads and gifts on a weekly basis. Just a short drive away there’s a great Sunday morning market at Coustellet – a lovely spot for breakfast!
There's so much to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
