This spacious 5-bedroom villa with pool, set in a peaceful, hillside location is ideally placed to visit Nice, the beaches of the Cote d'Azur and the ski resorts in the Alps.
The villa is approximately 240 sq metres and comprises of a comfy living room, dining room, galleried study, kitchen with breakfast area, large dining terrace, five bedrooms, four bathrooms, three WC's, swimming pool, beautifully landscaped gardens and parking for 3 or 4 cars.
It is in a beautiful location with superb westerly facing views over the Var River valley, and has quick and easy access to Nice town centre. It is perfect for 2 families or a large group of friends.
Living room: is spacious with comfortable sofas for 8 to 10 people, 4 small seats, double-sided fireplace, TV (international), Home Cinema, DVD player and Hi-Fi.
Dining room: is adjacent to the living room and has a dining table, 6 chairs, the other side of the fireplace, doors out to the swimming pool and a staircase leading to a galleried office/study.
Kitchen: is very well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. There’s also a breakfast area in one corner and French doors out to the dining terrace.
Utility room: is in the basement with a washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board.
Bedrooms: there are three bedrooms upstairs on the first floor and two downstairs on the basement level. The master bedroom has double bed, en-suite shower room and walk in wardrobe; the second bedroom here has double bed and the third has bunk beds with a single (90cm wide) above and double (140 cm) below, plus a further foldaway bed if required. On the basement level one of the bedrooms has double bed and the other has twin single beds.
Bathrooms: on the ground floor there’s a shower room and separate WC; on the first floor a bathroom with bath, double washbasins and separate WC, plus the master bedroom has ensuite shower room with washbasin. On the basement level there’s a shower room with large shower, washbasin and separate WC.
Outside: there are secure gates and a long driveway, leading through gardens up to the villa. There is parking for 3 or 4 cars and the villa is set on some 7000 sq metres planted with pines and olive trees. There is a large dining terrace (32 sq metres) from the kitchen with a teak table, chairs for 10 people and a bench, coffee table and four seats where the children could eat, a barbeque and wood-fired oven.
Swimming pool: is totally private and secure and approximately 8 x 4 metres; there are 6 poolside loungers, swing with 3 places, 2 armchairs and a wooden lounge area for 4 people. Also 3 parasols and a pool shower.
Internet: connection is available for your devices.
Telephone: is not available at this villa – sorry.
Baby facilities: there is a cot available upon request.
Winter heating: there is a charge of 70 Euros per week for winter heating.
Electric, & water: are included in the rental cost.
End-of-stay cleaning: there is a charge of 130 Euros payable directly to the owners.
Bed & bathroom linen: it is usual in France to take your own bedroom & bathroom linen with you, however it is possible to rent these from the owner upon request, at a price of 10 Euros per person, per week.
Taxe de Sejour: is not required here.
Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 2000 Euros on arrival, in cash (Euros, equivalent GBP or US$) or a French cheque. Alternatively, this can be made in advance with JDV by way of a credit card guarantee. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Change over day: normally a Saturday in peak season and the owner may be flexible outside this period. Minimum two week stays in mid-season.
Long weekend stays: are not possible at this villa – sorry.
Pets: not accepted here sorry.
Smoking: is not permitted inside this villa – sorry
Supplementary services: the owner may be able to arrange the following in advance and upon request, as a supplement: Babysitter, Daily cleaner, arrival meal service
About the local area
Local shops: the nearest shops & boulangeries can be found just 1.5 km away from the villa and there are supermarkets also at Castagniers or Carros approximately 5km away. The nearest restaurant is 2km.
Local markets: are held in Nice approximately 18km away.
Sporting activities: in the area are abundant– there is golf, tennis, horse riding, fishing, water sports and the beach.
Ski stations: Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of day’s winter sports! You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of The Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
Sightseeing: is endless; at this location you are very close to the town of Nice with it’s Promenade des Anglais, the port, the old town, bars, restaurants and festivals. You are even closer to the hilltop village of Carros where you will find some lovely restaurants and viewpoints.
Other entertainment: the nearby towns of Gattieres and Vence are also worth a visit. Monaco is a must if you haven’t been and can be accessed via the A8 autoroute. The Italian border is also not too far away!
