Settled above the medieval walled town of Vence, this enchanting villa offers stunning landscape of Vence and Mediterranean Sea, spreading over from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat to Cap d'Antibes. Handily located near St. Paul de Vence, Biot, Mougins, Antibes, Cannes, Nice and Monaco, it offers easy access to range of charming destinations to explore. It is surrounded by olive trees and mature provençal plants with private parking and large salt water swimming pool, sheltered from view and peaceful haven close to all commodities and attractions. Villa contains spacious living room with spectacular panoramic views, dining area, wood-burning fireplace, spacious kitchen, as well as five superb bedrooms with ensuite or separate bathrooms/showers. There is outbuilding featuring gym/sauna and office space. Free wifi is available throughout villa and around pool/garden. All rooms and common areas are equipped with central air conditioning.

Located in Provence-Côte d’Azur region, the centre of medieval town of Vence is 15-20 minutes’ walk and it is ‘a must-see’ tourist site, rich in history, traditions and arts. Its only 15-20 minutes’ walk to local shops, boulangeries, restaurants and supermarkets in Vence. There's lovely old town with winding streets and specialist shops, like wine shops, delicatessens, fromageries, patisseries and art galleries. 30 minutes by car to Nice international airport. Vila is true heaven of peace close to all amenities and tourist attractions of Provence-Côte d’Azur region.

It has maximum occupancy of 10 people (adults and children). Please note that steep garden and terrain around villa’s garden may pose challenges for toddlers, requiring extra attention. Pets accepted on request.

Living room: Living room is part of open plan living/dining area and its full of style and charm with fantastic panoramic view of surrounding area and Mediterranean sea. It provides generous space filled with plenty of natural light and thoughtfully chosen high quality furnishings. It is furnished with 3-seater corner sofa, and 3 stylish armchairs (2 are ‘love chairs’, so can seat 2 people), on-the-wall hidden dropdown smart TV, coffee table, insert fireplace and built in cupboards. Large glass windows/doors open up to terrace on two sides with direct access to top floor kitchen terrace and balcony.

Dining room: Dining area is part of open plan living/dining space, situated next to kitchen. Chic solid wood dining table with chairs for 10 people creates expansive and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for shared dining occasions. Large glass windows/doors offer direct access to the adjoining back garden and terrace allowing for panoramic sea views over the blue Mediterranean waters.

Kitchen: Kitchen opens up towards open plan living/dining area, featuring breakfast table and chairs for 6 (possible to make it up to 8-10, chairs in dining room next door to kitchen) and it has direct access to the outside upper level terrace with panoramic views. It is well-equipped with ample storage and appliances for cooking and dining: oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, US style fridge/freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, Bodin kitchen stove. This kitchen offers a pleasant and practical environment for delightful cooking experiences.

Bedrooms: Five in total, all fully air conditioned. Two front facing top floor bedrooms are both tastefully decorated with wooden beams, both boasts lovely panoramic views of sea and surrounding area and have direct access to terrace. Each bedroom has bed 140cmx200cm, fitted wardrobe, armchair, side table, desk and chair and they share family shower room. Top floor master suite bedroom has large bed 180cmx200cm, can be separated into 2 single beds (90cmx200cm) chest of drawers, 2 night tables, sideboard with mirror, minifridge, coffee machine. It has direct access to side back garden and terrace with private seating offering panoramic views. This bedroom has separate spacious walk-in cupboard with ample storage and safe; and en-suite luxurious bathroom with stylish bath and walk-in shower. Ground floor entrance level bedroom has pleasant furnishings and panoramic views with direct access to front terrace which is also furnished with table and chairs. It is furnished with double sofa, chest of drawers, bed 180cmx200cm (can be separated into 2 single beds 90cmx200cm), 2 bedside tables, wardrobe, minifridge, with walk-in shower room. Ground floor bedroom has direct access to swimming pool and terrace with panoramic views. It has large bed 180cmx200cm (can be separated into 2 single beds 90cmx200cm), chest of drawer and built in desk, custom made shelving and velvet seating area. Built-in wardrobe just outside of bedroom, next to separate bathroom with bath and walk-in shower.

Bathrooms: Villa offers four bathrooms plus independent guest cloakroom and toilet. Two front facing top floor bedrooms share family stylish shower room which is equipped with walk-in rain shower, W/C, washbasin, hairdryer. Top floor master en-suite luxurious bathroom comes with stylish bath and walk-in rain shower, W/C, double washbasin, hairdryer. Area around pool is nicely furnished with garden furniture including; sofas, two large Fatboy outdoor bean bags, sun loungers, egg basket chair and two spacious wicker chairs. Separate outbuilding features sauna room.

Internet: Fast Wi-Fi throughout property – 69 Mbps, Verified by speed test. Stream 4K videos and join video calls on multiple devices.

Baby facilities: Upon request

Bed & bathroom linen: included in rental

Winter heating: n/a.

End-of-stay cleaning: priced separately so if staying for more than 1 week you’re not paying in duplicate. It’s 415 Euros and collected upon reservation.

Taxe de Séjour: usually necessary to pay in France (tourist tax), is calculated based on the number of people in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. We will advise you of the tax due at the time you make your reservation and how it’s to be paid.

Damage deposit: 2500 Euros to make it in advance with JDV by way of credit card. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

Change over day: normally Saturday, other days considered upon request outside of Peak season.

Long weekend stays: not possible here – sorry.

Pets: upon request.

Smoking: outdoors only

Supplementary services: Yes, upon request. Can organise babysitters, chefs, etc for any special occasions. Welcome packs (wine and food). All available on request.

About the local area


Located in Provence-Côte d’Azur region, centre of medieval town of Vence is 15-20 minutes’ walk and it is ‘must-see’ tourist site, rich in history, traditions and arts. Closest award-winning patisserie, Aux Saveurs Retrouvees is 2 km away (15 mins walk or 5 mins by car). In town of Vence you will find selection of boulangeries and patisseries. Its only 15-20 minutes’ walk to local shops, boulangeries, restaurants and supermarkets in Vence. There's a lovely old town with winding streets and specialist shops, like wine shops, delicatessens, fromageries, patisseries and art galleries. Smaller supermarkets Bio Coop and Casino are approximately 2 km away (15 mins walk or 5 mins by car). Leclerc is largest supermarket which is 2.5 km away (20 mins walk).

Local markets are held in town’s main square, as well as old town of Vence. Here you can immerse yourself in its authenticity and character by visiting its daily markets and enjoy wonderful displays of locally produced olives, cheese, fish, vegetables and flowers as well as clothes, kitchen utensils, furniture, toys and other non alimentary producs.

Sporting activities in this area are abundant – there is golf, tennis, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, paragliding, water sports and the beach. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular. Ski stations of Greolieres, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are between 1-2 hour’s drive away if you fancy short winter sport’s break or during hot summer months, some nice refreshing walks!

Villa is located approximately 25 minutes drive to Antibes and its fine sandy beaches. Other beaches, and lovely promenade, can be found close-by at Cagnes-sur-Mer (15km) and also in Nice (30 minutes’ drive) right along “Promenade des Anglais”.

Main bus station in Vence providing excellent link to Cagnes-Sur-Mer train station, number 9 bus will take you to train station and also goes to Parc Pheonix in Nice where you can jump on trams. Nearest train station is at Cagnes-sur-Mer and this provides excellent train service along the coast. However, car is recommended. 30 minutes by car to Nice international airport.

Sightseeing is endless; nearest places of interest are village & art galleries of St Paul-de-Vence; Old Town of Vence; Matisse Chapel in Vence; nearby medieval town of Haut-de-Cagnes; pretty village of Tourettes-sur-Loup; perched village and views from Gourdon; town and famous perfumeries of Grasse; city, port and “Promenade des Anglais” of Nice; sandy beaches and old town of Antibes; village and glass makers of Biot; take the gorgeous Mimosa route. Ideal period for walking/hiking is from January to early March. From late June head out for day trip to enchanting lavender fields.
