Property Description


Mas de Vaudieu is a beautiful Provençale property which incorporates many authentic features, together with all the modern everyday conveniences ensuring a comfortable and relaxing holiday. It is difficult to capture the grandeur of Mas de Vaudieu and the amazing views through these photographs.
This spacious house is decorated to a very high standard and is set in 5 acres of private land on the hillside above St Tropez. The views are stunning and can be enjoyed at any time of the day from the south facing terrace, and where you can dine and relax in comfort.
The bedrooms are comfortable and no expense has been spared on the soft furnishings, linens and towels. The vast master bedroom on the first floor has its own balcony overlooking the pool and garden where you can enjoy the peace and tranquility.
Mature gardens surround the property and are very well maintained. There is plenty of space to relax, either beside the heated pool, or on one of several sun trapped terraces situated around the property.
There is an independent apartment with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a fully fitted kitchen, which is included in the price.
 

Property Features

Living Room: is elegant, very spacious and comfortable, with three large comfy sofas nestling around a grand open fireplace. There is an international TV, DVD player and iPod speakers. The French windows lead out on to the large and sunny south facing terrace overlooking the pool.
Dining Room: there is a large dining table and chairs seating 12 people in style.
Kitchen:  the kitchen is very modern and well equipped with an American fridge with an ice dispenser, a range cooker, dishwasher, a microwave and a second fridge. Also lots of cooking utensils to delight those who enjoy cooking.
Utility Room:  is next to the kitchen where there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. This leads to an outdoor terrace, ideal for drying.
Bedrooms: there are six bedrooms. The spacious and luxurious master bedroom with en-suite is on the first floor and has a super-king size bed, two sofas, a Bang & Olufsen home cinema and a south facing terrace overlooking the pool. The second bedroom has a king size bed and the other four bedrooms have either king size or single beds. All of the bedrooms are bright and tastefully decorated. There is an independent apartment, which has two bedrooms, a bathroom with a separate wc. The final bedroom is accessed from outside of the house and has an en-suite and wc. There is air conditioning within three rooms and fans in three rooms.
Bathrooms:  the en-suite in the master bedroom has a bath, shower, two hand basins and a wc. The two bedrooms accessed from the living room have en-suites including a wc in one and a separate wc in the other. The apartment has a bathroom and separate wc. There is an en-suite and wc in the sixth bedroom.
Outside:  the garden has been well designed and landscaped with olive and fruit trees and lavender. Around the property you will find several terraces which are private and enjoy the stunning views.  There are lots of loungers on the terraces. Leading from the kitchen and the living room there is a private, south facing, open and covered terrace with a grand table and seating for up to 20 people.  There is also a summer kitchen and a gas barbeque on the terrace.
Parking:  there is ample room for parking at the front of the house.
Swimming Pool: is large, heated and alarmed.  It has a shallow area for babies and young children to play and is surrounded by lawns with lots of poolside furniture and toys.
Internet: connection is available for your laptop via Wi-Fi.
Telephone: is available at the house.
Baby facilities: there is a cot and a high chair.
Cleaning service: a Maid service can be arranged on request.
Bed and bathroom linens: these are included in the rental cost and there is also a mid-week change of linens.
Winter heating: is not included in the rental cost and is subject to the number of guests  staying at the property.
Gas, electric and water: is included in the rental cost
End-of-stay cleaning: is included in the rental cost.
Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a ‘Tax de Sejour’ at the end of your stay.  It has been included here in the rental cost.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 15% of the rental cost to be paid with the final payment. This will be returned to you, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Changeover day: is always on Saturday during the high season, but please enquire for other times.
Long weekend stays and mini breaks: may be possible, please enquire.
Pets: are permitted here.
Smoking: is not permitted inside this property - sorry
 
 

About the local area

Plan de la Tour is beautiful Provencal village and is surrounded by vineyards and Mediterranean woodland including oaks, pines, olives, mimosa and chestnut trees.
Sports facilities/Activities: There are plenty of activities available such as, diving, sailing, golf (two 18 hole courses), cycling, hiking, fishing, riding, mountain biking, and even a casino. There is also the famous Aqualand water park and a children’s playground. The nearest beaches are in Ste Maxime, Boules and tennis can be played in the village
Sightseeing: This traditional French village is one of the few remaining jewels of unspoiled Provence with its old lanes, terracotta roofs and ancient bell tower. Despite its timeless charm, it still has all the amenities one could wish for. There are several small grocery stores where you can buy your bread, meat and provisions, a Tourist Office, a pharmacy and a tabac. There are even two working vineyards on the edge of the village for those who want to try the local wines.
Markets: The weekly morning market is on Thursday, where you can buy all your fresh and locally grown produce and flowers. Other local village markets include St-Tropez,  Grimaud, Port Grimaud, Cogolin, and La Garde Freinet. These markets sell locally produced foods, clothing and handicrafts.
Restaurants: There are a host of marvellous restaurants to satisfy every palate plus a bar.
Supermarkets and shops: The nearest hypermarket is located on the outskirts of Ste Maxime. Boutiques and designer shops can be found in abundance in Ste Maxime, Port Grimaud and St Tropez.
