Apartment St David is a beautiful, 2 bedroom apartment set in the heart of the popular village of Bonnieux. It has views to the South of the shared swimming pool, and views to the North of the valley, and in the distance, Mont Ventoux.
A newly-built property, the attention to detail really shows, with stylish interior design providing a spacious and relaxing space when you’re not outside enjoying the Provencal sunshine.
Close to the medieval ramparts of the historic village of Bonnieux, this property is ideally situated for access to village’s amenities, yet just minutes from the serene beauty and plethora of activities provided by the Luberon countryside.
Property Features
Living room: Furnished to a high standard, the living/indoor dining area has a light and spacious feel. The modern decor provides a soothing environment, with a nice balance of comfort and style. There's a TV, DVD player and wifi access.
Kitchen: The kitchen is well equipped for a self-catering holiday, (that’s if you don’t wish to visit the many excellent restaurants in the area!) There's an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher and washing machine.
Bedrooms: There are two bedrooms in the apartment, both with double beds
Bathrooms: There's one bathroom with a walk in shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside: The property can be reached using a lift, rather than climbing stairs. The property has a lovely, large, private terrace equipped with outdoor dining furniture. The views are stunning!
Swimming pool: The shared swimming pool (measuring 8m x 5m) is perfect for a refreshing dip during the summer, and has an inclined entrance, making it ideal for those that don’t want to take a sudden plunge! It is open from May to September and heated at the beginning and end of the season
Winter heating: There is a charge of 50 euros, payable upon arrival, for Winter heating.
Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
End-of-stay cleaning: The owner arranges end-of-stay cleaning, and this is included in the rental cost.
Bed & bathroom linen: This is included in the rental cost.
Internet: There is wifi access.
In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” for your stay. This is calculated on the number of adults in your party and number of nights you stay, payable when you make your reservation. Please note that this French tax cannot exceed 2.53 € per night and per adult.
Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible
Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.
Pets: We’re sorry, pets are not permitted at this property.
Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 500 Euros and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
About the local area
The village of Bonnieux has a rich and varied history and is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Luberon.
In summer the village is really popular and therefore has some great restaurants and cafés. Although not very big, it has some useful and interesting shops, including bakers, butchers, grocery, pharmacy, post office and tourist information centre. There's also a local market on a Friday.
The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Maubec) on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
Just a short drive away there's a great Sunday morning market at Coustellet and the larger town of Apt is only 15 minutes away.
There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.

The apartment was super. Perfectly equipped and clean and in a great location. The secure parking space was a boon, especially in the hot weather. I only used the pool a couple of times but that was also very nice. Sitting on the terrace to eat or relax was also lovely.
Too many places to visit to mention really, but we had lovely days out in Aix en Provence, Salon de Provence and Les Baux and in Arles as well as shorter trips to Roussillon, Oppedes, Gordes and the Abbaye of Senanque. Lots of choice of places to eat, our favourite was L`Heure Bleu. The view of the sunset from the Brasserie les Terrasses was also terrific.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay in the apartment and made more use of the pool this time around which was nice.
Sitting out on the balcony watching the world go by was lovely.
I think apartment St David will be our choice for the future.

Great! Just an additional key was missing. Bonnieux is a very nice place and the apartment is perfect. We had a wonderful stay.
