General Description

  • A stunning property with views to match, not far from one of the famous and most popular perched villages of the Luberon

  • This is a newly built villa but uses the traditional local stone and style of architecture to make a wonderful and stylish retreat for a holiday in the heart of Provence

  • There is ample space for six people here with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and excellent facilities throughout the rest of the property

  • The villa is in a quiet and countryside location with lovely views but is only 2-3kms away from Bonnieux, a village large enough to have most of what you would need but small enough to retain a definite air of Provencal charm

The Local Area

  • Bonnieux is one of the most famous of the Provencal perched villages, immortalised in Peter Myles' books about the region

  • This property is just outside the village so benefits from tranquillity and beautiful views from the plateau

  • The villages of the Luberon Regional Park are all within easy reach, the problem is choosing which one to visit!

  • Most have their own market days and all have little treasures to find.

  • The larger towns of Cavaillon and Apt are not far away, with their own much more extensive markets and shops

  • Just a little further you find the large Provencal towns, Aix en Provence and Avignon

  • And if all that doesn't keep you busy, the wine regions are on the doorstep, wonderful footpaths and cycle routes through the countryside, Marseille and the Mediterranean beaches are just an hour or so away and if you fancy some high living, Monaco and the Cote d'Azur are a day trip out from here.

Facilities

  • Living room:  The living room is a real feature of this property.  Measuring some 50m² it has a lovely fireplace as the centre piece of the room and is stylishly furnished with sofas, TV and satellite and CD player

  • Kitchen: This leads off the lounge area and is very well equipped with local stone surfaces and all the utensils and appliances that you would expect from in a house of this standard; e.g. dishwasher, Lacanche stove, a refrigerator and microwave oven.  From here there is a door to the terrace where there are fantastic views of the Luberon Regional Park

  • Utility room: This is next to the kitchen and has a washing machine, a dryer, freezer, iron and ironing board with a WC leading off.

  • Bedrooms: The stairs from the sitting area lead upstairs where you find 3 double bedrooms (two queen sized beds and one standard).  They are all very good quality mattresses.

  • Bathrooms: Two bathrooms, one with a bath and both with a shower.  There are two separate WCs

  • Outside:  As you'd expect and can see from the photographs, the outside is really a beautiful space.  There is a lovely lawned area and all the garden is enclosed.  There are olive trees, cherry trees and plenty of beautiful Provencal lavender.  To keep it looking this good, there is an automatic watering system.  There are two terraces, one covered for shade from the sun and they are well equipped with dining furniture, deck chairs and loungers.

  • Swimming pool: The pool is a good size, 11.5m X 5m and has the added advantage of an electrically powered cover.  There is heating available although this is an extra cost which is charged at 150 euros per week.

  •  Telephone: There is a telephone on the premises, usage not included

  • Internet: There is WiFi access available at this property

  • Gas, electric, & water: are all included in the rental cost.

  • End-of-stay cleaning: is included in the rental cost, including 3 hours mid week cleaning as well.

  • Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.

  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit which will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

  • Change over day: Saturday in high season, flexible outside of high season (on request)

  •  Long weekend stays: Possible on request

  •  Pets: are not permitted at this villa - sorry.
