  • The location and exterior of the villa are stunning; with amazing views across the valley to La Coste, Mont Ventoux, Alpes de Haute Provence and  the Grande Luberon.
  • The interior has been very tastefully decorated and stylishly furnished to a high standard.  You’ll definitely feel you’re in France and can slow down, relax and enjoy your holiday with friends and family.
  • The Villa has 4 double bedrooms (which can be split into twins) 2 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets.
  • Villa St Ulrike is in a private location at the end of a country track. Once within the walled garden of sweet smelling roses, lavender and rosemary, you can take a dip in the private pool, or sit out on one of the large shady terraces that surround the house – bliss!

The Local Area

  • Bonnieux is a typical, hillside-terraced, bustling, Provencal village with far reaching views towards the other picturesque Luberon villages such as La Coste, Gordes and Roussillion.
  • A leisurely 10 minute walk from the villa will bring you into the village where you’ll find plenty of small shops, including several boulangeries, newsagents, cafes and restaurants. A local market is held every Friday morning. Larger supermarkets and shops can be found at the nearby town of Apt.
  • Bonnieux is an ideal base from which to discover this part of Provence. The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
  • There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
  • If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling (available in the village), mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis (courts in the village) and swimming.
  • There is a huge choice of local markets selling fresh breads, vegetables, cheese and herbs, all within a short drive. You could visit the bustling Farmers market in Coustellet or Cavaillon market, famous for melons!

Facilities

  • Living room: As you enter the property there’s a spacious living room on the right, which is comfortably furnished with large sofas, armchairs, TV, DVD and stereo. This room then opens onto one of the large covered terraces.
  • Kitchen: The Kitchen/dining area is open plan, fully equipped and has a lovely light and airy feel, due to the French doors that lead out onto another terrace.
  • Bedrooms: There are four bedrooms in all. One is on the ground floor and has a king size bed (that can be converted into singles) and an en-suite bathroom and separate toilet. The other three bedrooms are all upstairs and all doubles.
  • Bathrooms: The main family bathroom is upstairs and has double sinks, a bath and separate shower. There’s also a separate toilet.
  • Outside: The house is surrounded by an open terrace on one side and covered terraces on the other sides, offering shade and great views for you to appreciate at different times of the day. The villa is situated at the end of a country track and behind a walled garden with electric gates. The very private garden is stocked with olive trees, vines and a lawned area.
  • Swimming pool: Within the walled garden is the fantastic salt water swimming pool – 13 x 7 m. There is also a lovely pool house with a built in BBQ and outdoor kitchen, along with a toilet and shower.  This whole area is perfect for relaxing, taking a dip, or letting the children play on the lawn by the pool.
  • Gas, electricity, & water: are all included in the rental cost. 
  • End-of-stay cleaning: is included in the rental cost. 
  • Bed & bathroom linen: your bed linen, towels and pool towels are all provided and changed weekly.
  • Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost. 
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 1500 Euros upon arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages. 
  • Change over day: Saturdays, although there may be some flexibility outside of the summer months.
  • Long weekend stays: Maybe possible upon request. Please ask for more details
  • Pets: are not permitted at this villa - sorry. 
  • Internet : There is a WiFi internet connection available at this property
  • Smoking: is not permitted inside this villa – sorry.
  • Parking: There is private parking within the walled garden.

How To Get There

  • By Car – Directions by car from the A6/A7 motorway
  • By Air –  Marseilles, Lyon, Avignon and Nimes airports all within 50 minutes to 1½  hours away
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, which is 1 hour from the villa.
