Villa St Michelle is within a gated domain, giving you security and privacy and is within easy reach of Carry le Rouet and just under a kilometre to the beach.

It is charming property, full of natural light, lovely furniture and with a large, south facing terrace where you can enjoy the beautiful pool and garden at any time of the day.

As you will see from the photographs, the house is well furnished, has a beautiful garden and every necessary appliance in the kitchen to make your stay relaxing and comfortable.

Also in residence is a blue Persian cat by the name of Gribouille (Scribble). He is beautifully natured and friendly.

The accommodation comprises 3 bedrooms, a master with an en-suite shower room and toilet on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the ground floor, a large family bathroom and ample living space both inside and out.
The Local Area

Carry le Rouet is situated on La Cote Bleue (Blue Coast) between Marseille and Martigues. The village has grown up out of the port which is naturally set amongst some of the most beautiful cliffs and pine woods and is ideal for those who like walk the beautiful rocky inlet close to the village.

Activities – for those who enjoy an active holiday there is a host of water sports as well as fishing, tennis, climbing, archery, sea going outings, hiking and mountain biking.

Restaurants - Plenty of chose from in the local town of Carry le Rouet which is just a ten minute walk away. Take your pick from seafood, pizza, creperie, traditional French etc.

Supermarket – Again just a short distance away in the village

Markets – Every Monday and Wednesday mornings
Facilities

Living room: The lounge is comfortably furnished with two sofas, a television with French and international channels, DVD, video and a fireplace.

Dining room: The dining room is well furnished and can seat up to 8 people

Kitchen: The kitchen is very well equipped with everything the keen cook would need. There is a dish washer, hob, microwave oven, electric oven, fridge, a freezer and of course all the cooking utensils. There is also a washing machine and laundry facilities (ie iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner etc)

Bedrooms: There are three bedrooms in total. Two of these are downstairs with double beds and the master en suite bedroom upstairs that benefits from sea views.

Bathrooms: There is an en suite shower room upstairs and also another bathroom downstairs for the guests who are accommodated in other two bedrooms

Outside: As you would expect from a seaside holiday villa, the outside is also very well equipped. There are five loungers for relaxing by the pool, a table and chairs for eating al fresco, a barbeque, table-tennis table and of course the lovely swimming pool to cool off in!

Swimming pool: the private pool is a good size and measures 10 metres by 5 metres.

Internet: There is internet access available here

Telephone: There is a telephone available at the house if you need one.

Baby facilities: Just let us know what you need and we should be able to arrange any baby cots/high chairs

Winter heating: The house has central heating for the cooler winter months.

Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.

End-of-stay cleaning: The owner arranges the end of stay clean and charges a fee of 40 euros for this, payable locally.

Bed & bathroom linen: This is all supplied and included in the rental cost.

Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.

Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 500 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages or necessary cleaning.

Change over day: This is normally Saturday but outside of peak season, other arrangements may be accommodated.

Long weekend stays: These are potentially available outside of the summer months but please contact us if you are interested.

Pets: These may be considered but please note there is a cat in residence at this property.

By Car – Carry le Rouet is between Marseille and Martigues, approximately 20 minutes away

By Air – Marseille airport is 30 minutes and Nimes Airport is 60 minutes from Carry le Rouet

By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Aix en Provence, approximately 50 minutes away.
