General Description

  • It's a new & spacious villa, situated in the countryside just outside the well-known village of Rousillon, in a small quiet hamlet
  • It has great views and is a wonderful base for exploring the Luberon Region.
·    This villa is perfect for a family or up to 6 people.
  • If you fancy just chilling out, there's a lovely private pool (10 x 5m), fitted with an alarm, a shaded terrace with a BBQ for dining al fresco and 1000 m² of maintained garden. 

The Local Area

     

  • If you want to explore the area, the winding roads of the Luberon have spectacular views and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieux) on the doorstep.
  • Just a short drive away there's a great Sunday morning market at Coustellet and the larger town of Apt is only 15 minutes away.
  • There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
  • If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for climbing, cycling (bike hire available in Bonnieux just 15 minutes away), mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.  

Facilities

·         Living area: The living/dining area is furnished to a high standard, with a stylish yet traditional appearance.  The good-sized room is equipped with a sofa, TV and chairs, as well as dining facilities for six people.  There’s also an ornate fireplace, adding a cosy atmosphere to the property.

·         Kitchen: the fully fitted kitchen has pretty much everything that you’ll need when cooking for six people.

·         Bedrooms: There are a total of three bedrooms on the first floor – two doubles and a twin.  All are neatly decorated and provide comfortable accommodation for the occupants.

·         Bathrooms: There are two shower rooms in the property (both en suite to a double bedroom) and two separate WCs, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor.  One of the bathrooms has recently been completely refurbished by the owners.

·         Outside: The well-maintained garden covers over 1000m2, and the perfect setting in which to simply relax and lose yourself during the beautiful days.  You can even choose to dine al fresco on the shaded terrace to make the most of your holiday!

·         Swimming pool: The private 10m x 5m pool is alarmed, and provides a welcome relief from the heat of the long, warm, Provencal summer days!

·         Winter heating: Should you visit during the winter months, central heating is included in the cost of your holiday.

·         Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.

·         End-of-stay cleaning: The owner arranges end-of-stay cleaning, and there is a charge of 88 Euros for this, payable locally.

·         Bed & bathroom linen: Bed linen and towels are included in the cost of your holiday but you will need to bring towels for the swimming pool.

·         Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.

·         Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 800 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

·         Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible

·         Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.

·         Pets: We’re sorry, pets are not permitted at this property.

How To Get There

  • By Car - The village of Rousillon lies a few km north of the N100, 20 minutes east of Avignon.

  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away.

  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 25 minutes away
