General Description

  • The property is set in a calm countryside location (but not isolated) with beautiful views of Mt Ventoux. The garden is fully enclosed with electric gates to create a secure and peaceful space for your holiday.
  • Built in 1998, Villa St Brice was designed with comfort and style in mind.  There are exposed beamed ceilings, thick well insulated walls, air conditioning, natural wood fittings, tiled floors and wrought iron railings.
  • Outside is a lovely pool, deep enough for diving, and a well planned outdoor entertaining area, complete with a summer kitchen and BBQ area.
  • The house is idea for 6 people with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • This villa is close to Villa St Pierre and the two can be reserved together if you are a group of up to 12 people.

The Local Area

  • Surrounded by such idyllic scenery, the area is ideal for walking, cycling and sight-seeing. Also close-by there are some excellent golf courses, and a host of other outdoor activities, including climbing and kayaking. 
  • For a more serene day out, there is an abundance of well-known vineyards in the area, including Chateauneuf du Pape, Gigondas and Vacqueras. In addition, many of the local villages have a rich history, and a wander around the ancient streets is not to be missed.
  • Many Provencal villages hold weekly markets, where it’s possible to browse the local produce. Some of the more famous local markets are Isle sur la Sorgue, (antiques), Carpentras, (truffles), and Cavaillon, (melons).
  • Larger supermarkets can be found in Carpentras, about 10km away
  • If you fancy a day at the beach, the Mediterranean coast is only an hours drive away.

Facilities

  • Living Room: There’s a large , air-conditioned lounge with split level ceiling, overhead fan, open fireplace and feature bar area, leather suite and teak furniture. Flat screen HD TV, free view satellite and DVD.  South facing patio doors open onto the terrace and overlook the pool area.
  • Kitchen: This is a spacious room, designed as a kitchen/dining area. It has high quality fixtures and fittings, including maple units, a Smeg gas cooker, large oven and 5 gas rings. There’s an American style fridge/freezer with ice and cold water dispenser, microwave and dishwasher. This room also has air-conditioning,
  • Bedrooms: On the ground floor are 2 bedrooms.  One has a double bed that can be split into 2 singles if you wish; the other has a double bed and patio doors opening onto the terrace which overlooks the pool. The third, Master bedroom is upstairs and has a lovely high ceiling, air-conditioning, Provencal tiles and patio doors which open onto a large sun terrace overlooking the pool and the stunning views.
  • Bathrooms: There are 3 bathrooms in all. One is en-suite with the Master bedroom and has a large shower with 6 jet facility, sunken corner bath, his and hers sinks and a WC. The second bathroom, located downstairs, has a shower,  a bath a sink, WC and houses the washing machine. The third bathroom is out by the pool area and has a shower and WC.  There’s also a separate WC in the house.
  • Outside: The property is set in its own grounds and has a lovely terrace with furniture overlooking the pool.  There’s a BBQ, summer kitchen and covered eating area so you can sit out and enjoy the warm Provencal evenings. There's over half an acre of garden, set with oaks and olive trees to explore.
  • Swimming Pool: A great pool, much deeper than most so ideal for using the diving board! It measures 12.2m x 5.3m, has flood lights and isn’t overlooked – so you can really relax!
  • Internet: There is a secure Wi-Fi internet connection available at this property.
  • Telephone: Unfortunately, a telephone connection is not provided at this property.
  • Baby facilities: Baby facilities are available on request.
  • Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: The owner arranges end-of-stay cleaning and the charge for this is 100 euros, payable locally when you arrive please.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: These are provided and included in the rental cost, as are tea towels and pool towels. 
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of £500, (or 600€),as a cheque on arrival. This will be sent back to you  following your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages. 
  • Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility may be possible.
  • Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility may be possible during the low season.
  • Pets: We’re sorry; pets are not permitted at this property.
  • Smoking: We’re sorry; smoking is not permitted at this property.

How To Get There

  • By Car – The village of Malemort du Comtat is located just 12km away from Carpentras, just off the D4 road
  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 90 minutes drive away
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away
