General Description

  • Villa Sauvecanne is the perfect house for family and friends, with lots of space (220sqm) inside and (3,000sqm) outside, where you can relax and un-wind.
  • The villa is gated and secure and has air conditioning throughout.
  • The heated salt water pool is set in the centre of the garden capturing the sun all day.
  • There are four double bedrooms, all of which have en-suite facilities.

The Local Area

  • The authentic Provencal village of Fayence is about 2kms from the villa. The pretty streets are lined with shops, restaurants and bars. There are lots of perched hilltop villages, all within a short trip, Seillans, St Paul en Foret, Montauroux and well worth a visit.
  • Sports facilities/Activities: Apart from playing Pentanque at the villa, or taking the bike to get the croissants in the morning, you can venture out on foot to enjoy the perfect terrain and beautiful views. Close by there is canoeing, golf and horse riding.
  • Sightseeing: The owners of Villa Sauvecanne have lots of information for you to read, including maps. Lake Saint Cassien is nearby where you can ‘play’ on the water and just a 30 minute journey will take you to the coast and beaches at Theole sur Mer.
  • The local markets in the region are colourful and interesting. There are three within easy reach and are open in the mornings on different days, where you can buy all your fresh and seasonal fruit and vegetables, flowers and local chesses and wine.
  • Take a break from cooking and go enjoy the excellent local restaurants in Seillans and Fayence.
  • A large supermarket is just 2 kms away and there are butchers and grocers in the villages.

Facilities

  • Living Room: This is a beautiful room with lots of natural light. The comfy furniture is perfect for indoor relaxation and where you can enjoy the entertainment system. There is an International TV, DVD player + a selection of DVD’s.  French windows lead out on to the sunny south facing and covered terrace and overlooks the pool.
  • Dining Room:  There is a large glass dining table and chairs with French windows leading out on to the terrace.
  • Kitchen:  The kitchen is large and modern and well equipped with a new American  fridge/freezer, a gas and electric hob, an electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, 2 coffee machines and a toaster.
  • Utility Room:  Is next to the kitchen where there is a washing machine, vapour iron and board and lots of cupboard space.
  • Bedrooms: There are four bedrooms, which are all on the ground floor. The pretty and bright master bedroom, with French windows on to the south facing terrace, has lots of mirrored wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has a double bed and en-suite shower room, the third bedroom has a 2 x 1 metre beds (or a 2metre king) and en-suite shower room.  The fourth bedroom has a double bed and an en-suite shower room. There are TV's in three of the bedrooms. They have ample space for clothing.
  • Bathrooms:  The master bathroom has a large bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath, power shower, basin and toilet.  Three bedrooms have an en-suite shower, basin and toilet.  There is also a guest toilet with basin.
  • Outside:  There is a large, secure and gated garden (3000sqm) with lots of beautiful flowering plants, lavender, fruit and olive trees as well a variety of mature shrubs. Leading from the living room and dining room via the French windows there is a south facing open and covered terrace, which has a motorized awning,  and table and chairs. There is a new Weber gas barbeque, and a petanque area.
  • Garage:  There is room for parking at the front of the house and there is a double carport.
  • Swimming Pool: The heated salt/biologique pool is 10m x 5m and has an alarm. There is lots of room for poolside furniture.
  • Internet: connection is available for your laptop via Wi-Fi.
  • Telephone: Is not available at the house.
  • Baby facilities: There is a cot and a high chair.
  • Bed and bathroom linens: These are included in the rental cost.
  • Winter heating: Is included in the rental cost
  • Gas, electric and water: Is included in the rental cost
  • End-of-stay cleaning: Is included in the rental cost.
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a ‘Tax de Sejour’ at the end of your stay.  It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 1,000 Euros on arrival.  This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: Is normally Saturday, but please enquire
  • Long weekend stays and mini breaks: May be possible, please enquire.
  • Pets: Small pets are permitted here.
  • Smoking: Is not permitted inside this property - sorry

How To Get There

  • By Car – The villa is 2km from the nearest village so a car is advisable. The A8 / E80 autoroute ( exit 39)  is approximately 45 minuites from the Villa.
  • By Air - The nearest international airport to this property is Nice and the villa in within an hours drive.
  • By Train - The Eurostar/TGV high speed train runs from London to Les Arcs, Draguignan and is within 45 minutes of the property.
