General Description

  • Enjoy the spectacular views over the bay of Villefranche and Cap Ferrat from this spacious, 4-bedroom villa with pool, just 500 metres from the shops and restaurants of the charming old town!
  • The villa is approximately 120 sq metres and comprises of a spacious living room, a separate dining room, a large breakfasting kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a balcony from the bedrooms, a dining terrace, gardens, a small swimming pool and garaging for one car. The high ceilings throughout the villa give a feeling of space and luxury.
  • The beauty of this villa is that it’s in a tranquil spot in the hills just above Villefranche town, yet still within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, beach and train station. It has the most panoramic views over the bay, across to the exclusive Cap Ferrat and from the terrace you can sit and watch the cruise ships come and go. Apart from the charming town of Villefranche, the villa is also ideally placed to visit both Nice and Monaco.
  • It has a maximum occupancy of 8 people (plus babies) and would be perfect for a large family, two families holidaying together, or a group of friends.

The Local Area

  • Local shops, restaurants, boulangeries and a small supermarket can be found in the charming old town of Villefranche just 500 metres away! Here there is a fantastic array of restaurants to choose from; you can either dine along the quay front whilst watching the boats bobbing around on their anchors, or amongst the maze of tiny streets in the old town - there’s something for every budget and taste. For a late drink, my favourite lounge-bar ‘Beluga’ can be found on the quay front, where you can sit alfresco on comfy sofas, listen to the chill out music in candlelight, and watch the moon glistening over the sea.
  • Local markets are held in the old town square and the main road through Villefranche, and also in the Cours Saleya in Nice approximately 3 km away. Here you can choose from a colourful selection of fresh fruit, veg, olives and local produce. They also hold regular ‘brocante’ markets (flea market) where you can buy all sorts of artefacts and ornaments.
  • Sporting activities in the area are abundant – being near to the sea, fishing, water sports, sailing and swimming are a favourite; you will also find tennis nearby and golf courses further afield.
  • Beaches can be found just 500 metres away at the sandy bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer. It’s good for swimming, has cafes and restaurants for refreshments, and from here you get great south facing views down the bay to the open sea.
  • The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports! You are also in close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
  • Getting around is very easy - you have the local bus network on your doorstep and the train which runs along the coast (Nice to Monaco to Italy) just 500 metres away. A car is not necessary at this location.
  • Sightseeing is endless; Villefranche is a beautiful 14th Century town set in one of the Cote d’Azurs most charming natural harbours and overlooking the exclusive peninsula of Cap Ferrat. Wandering through the warren of evocatively named tiny streets, broken up with steps, you get occasional glimpses of the sea. The houses are painted in a rainbow of Mediterranean colours. From the old town square, you can take the coastal path which runs around the old Citadel ‘Fort St-Elme‘to the historical old ‘Port Royal de la Darse’, where you can drool over the superyachts!  Apart from Villefranche, you are also ideally placed here between Nice and Monaco to visit the most famous places on the Cote d’Azur. To the east there is St Jean-Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, the medieval hilltop village of Eze, Monaco, Cap Martin and the town of Menton at the Italian border. To get there, you can choose on which of “Les Trois Corniches” you would prefer to drive and take in the spectacular sea views. To the west you have the coastal towns of Nice, Antibes and Cannes. Further inland you can visit the delightful towns of Vence, St Paul-de-Vence, Valbonne, Biot and Mougins.
  • Other entertainment includes the water theme-park at Marineland near Antibes; the Old Town of Nice; The Promenade des Anglais; the Port of Nice; the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, and the zoo, on Cap Ferrat; casinos and shopping in Monaco; helicopter rides from Monaco; yacht marinas in Villefranche, St Jean-Cap-Ferratt and Beaulieu-sur-Mer; and much much more!
