Villa Angelique
General Description
- This splendid, recently built 5 bedroom villa with private pool is located in a peaceful spot on the way up to Vence, near Nice. Beautifully presented and set on some 1500 sq metres of south-facing land, it’s just 25 minutes drive from the airport and beaches!
- Offering approx 175 sq metres of living space it comprises spacious living/dining room, super large kitchen, utility room, 5 good bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 independent WC’s, covered dining terrace, further poolside terrace, beautiful lawns & gardens, large secure swimming pool and a carport & parking for up to 4 vehicles. The construction of the walls is very thick, keeping it nice and naturally cool in summer.

- It has a maximum occupancy of 10 people (plus babies) and would be ideal for two families holidaying together – great capacity at a reasonable price!
The Local Area
- Local shops, boulangeries, restaurants and supermarkets can be found just 2km away in the nearby town centre of Vence. This is the lesser known neighbour of the famous
- Local markets are held in the main square & old town of
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant – there is golf, tennis, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, paragliding, water sports and the beach. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
- Beaches and a lovely promenade can be found close by at Cagnes-sur-Mer (15km) and also right along the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.
- The ski stations of Greolieres, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are between 1-2 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
- Getting around, there is a bus service towards the towns of Vence, Cagnes-sur-Mer and Nice, but the stop is quite a walk from the villa. The nearest train station is at Cagnes-sur-Mer and this provides an excellent train service along the coast. A car is recommended here.
- Sightseeing is endless; the nearest places of interest are the village & art galleries of St Paul-de-Vence; the Old Town of Vence; the Matisse Chapel in Vence; the nearby medieval town of Haut-de-Cagnes; the pretty village of Tourettes-sur-Loup; the perched village and views from Gourdon; the town and perfumeries of Grasse; the city and “Promenade des Anglais” of Nice; the port of Nice; the beaches and old town of Antibes; the village and glass makers of Biot;
- Other entertainment includes exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and views, cinema, wine tasting, the many art galleries, Aquasplash & Marineland in Biot, ‘Ludi Park’ of activities (ideal for families), or just good old relaxing by the pool!
Facilities
- Living/dining room: large room opening out to the terrace and pool, furnished with modern sofas set in front of fireplace, large TV (English satellite) & Hi-Fi. Dining table and chairs for 6 people (plus further on terrace).
- Kitchen: large and well-equipped with stainless steel oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, large fridge, freezer and coffee machine.
- Utility room: with washing machine & dryer, iron & ironing board
- Bedrooms: five in total, one on the ground floor and four upstairs, all beautifully presented and with lovely wood floors. The ground floor master bedroom has double bed, an en-suite shower room, large dressing room and doors out to terrace. Upstairs 3 of the bedrooms are furnished with double beds, the other having two singles (the bed sizes are one at 160x200, three at 140x190 and two at 90x190)
- Bathrooms: there's two, plus two independent WC’s all beautifully appointed. The master bedroom has en-suite with large shower area, washbasin and WC. The upstairs bathroom has bath, shower area and washbasin. There’s an independent WC on both the ground and first floor levels.
- Outside: secure entrance gates and long driveway lead up to the villa, providing parking for up to 4 vehicles. The south-facing, well maintained gardens of approximately 1500 sq metres have flat lawns, planted with mediterranean trees – fully enclosed and ideal for children to play. A terrace from the living room is furnished with good quality garden furniture, plus covered dining terrace for 8 people with gas barbeque.
- Swimming pool: is just great here; directly in front of the house, heated and totally secured for children by railings, its 9x4.5m, has poolside shower and up to 9 sun loungers are available.
- Internet: connection available here for your laptop via Wi-Fi.
- Telephone: landline not available, but you could always make calls through the Wi-Fi and your laptop.
- Baby facilities: baby cot is available here upon request.
- Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 1500 Euros on arrival, which can be made with JDV by way of credit card guarantee if you prefer. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Bed & bathroom linen: included in the rental cost. Pool towels also included here.
- Gas, electric & water: all included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: included in the rental cost.

- Change over day: normally a Saturday however the owners may be flexible upon request.
- Long weekend stays: possible here outside of July & August - please ask for details.
