Villa Agapanthe Apartment
General Description
- This stylishly furnished, two bedroom, self-catering apartment with shared pool is set within the grounds of the owner’s lovely old house and sits impressively on an olive-groved hillside, with spectacular views across the plain of Grasse down to the Mediterranean sea.
- The apartment is air-conditioned and comprises of a living room/kitchen area, two bedrooms, an independent bathroom, a sunny terrace with stunning views, beautifully landscaped gardens, a shared swimming pool with pool house terrace and parking for two cars.
- The apartment is in a peaceful location close to the villages of Opio and Châteauneuf and is also conveniently located to reach the larger town of
- It has a maximum occupancy of 4 people (plus baby) and would be perfect for two couples or a small family/group of friends.
The Local Area
- Local shops, restaurants, boulangeries and a supermarket can be found just 5 minutes drive away in the
- Local markets, where you can buy a superb array of local produce like olives, cheese, wine and breads are held in Grasse and the neighbouring villages of Chateauneuf & Valbonne.
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant– golf is a favourite in this region where you will find the courses of Opio (just 5 mins away) Opio-Valbonne and Royal Mougins. There is also tennis within 5-10 mins away and for those who like horse riding, Le Ranch. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.

Facilities
- Living room: stylishly furnished with a comfortable sofa bed, coffee table, large TV (French), video player & radio/CD player. Lovely views and double doors opening to the terrace/garden area.
- Kitchen area: open plan to the living room with modern fitted units, a 2-plate electric hob, high-level microwave oven, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle & toaster. Pots & pans ready for cooking. Table & chairs for 4 people.
- Utility: no washing machine, however a washing service can be provided by the owner at an additional cost. Iron & ironing board can be provided.
- Bedrooms: two in total, one having a double bed and freestanding wardrobe and the other has two single beds and freestanding wardrobe.
- Bathrooms: one good-sized independent bathroom shared between the two bedrooms, stylishly appointed with bath, over bath shower, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail. Hairdryer available.
- Additional accommodation: during the summer months it’s possible to rent the owners main home for a further 10 people (please see Villa Agapanthe). Also at certain times of the year the owner is able to provide 2 bedroom suites for Bed & Breakfast, for an additional 2 people each (please see Villa Agapanthe Poolhouse)
- Outside: the property is set on a total of 1.4 hectares, containing terraced groves with over 250 olive and orange trees, from which the owner makes their own marmalade and olive oil. The apartment & house is approached by a long winding driveway leading to the front where there is parking. From this arrival point, the view over the plain takes your breath away! The apartment itself is accessed through a charming stone wall with archways; it has a large outside terrace area with sun loungers and fantastic views. Within the owners gardens there is also a barbeque, table tennis & children’s trampoline (adult supervision required!).
- Swimming pool: is large (15x6 meters), secured by 2 alarms and is shared with the owners of the house and their other guests. It has ‘astro’ type turf around the perimeter and there are numerous Italian wrought-iron sun loungers placed around it. Steps at one corner of pool, about 1 meter in the shallow end and not too deep at the other. Unheated. Also there’s a relaxing covered terrace area adjacent to the pool with wicker sofas.

- Baby facilities: baby cot and high chair available upon request.
- Damage deposit: not requested however you would be asked to pay for any breakages/damage.
- Bed & bathroom linen: included in the rental cost.
- Electric & water: both included in rental cost.
- Winter heating: is included in the rental cost. This property also has Air Conditioning.
- End-of-stay cleaning: included in the rental cost (however you may be asked to pay if left in really bad state)

- Long weekend stays: possible here.
- Pets: permitted upon request - please ask for details. Please note: there is no secure fencing.
- Smoking: not permitted inside this property – sorry.
- Supplementary services: owner’s housekeeper lives on site and is a fantastic cook. She can also be employed to do cleaning, washing, ironing, shopping, baby sitting etc at an extra cost paid to her direct. She can also prepare an arrival meal or daily breakfast by prior request.
- Environmental features: recycling bins at the entrance gate for bottles & magazines. Also some solar panels for hot water.
