Studio Parc Forêt 1
General Description
- This comfortable and well-equipped studio apartment is set in the Forest Parkland of the Valmasque and has a sunny balcony, swimming pools and tennis. It is located in a recently built hilltop village, Mougins-le Haut, between Mougins and Antibes.
- The apartment is on the 2nd floor with a lift, and comprises of a studio room, kitchen area, shower room, balcony and an underground car parking space.
- There is also an option to rent an additional studio (see Studio Parc Foret 2) if there are 4 of you in your party.
- The studio is in a village square location with small shops, restaurants and children’s play area outside your front door.
- It has a maximum occupancy of 2 (plus baby) and would be perfect for a couple, or friends sharing.
The Local Area
- Local shops, a pharmacie, a tabac, a boulangerie and some restaurants can be found just outside your front door! For more extensive shopping a large commercial centre and supermarket is approximately 10 minutes away, in Antibes.
- Local markets are held in most nearby towns; the one in the nearby village of Valbonne on a Friday morning is particularly good.
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there is golf, tennis, water sports, paragliding, and the beach. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
- Beaches can be found close by in Cannes and Golfe-Juan (15mins).
- The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
- Getting around is easier with a car, but there is a train station 10 mins away in Cannes.
- Sightseeing is endless; The nearest places of interest are The Old Town and Port of Antibes, Cannes and its “Croisette”, the old village of Mougins, Vallauris and its potteries, Biot and its glass makers, the aquariums at Marineland, the art galleries of St Paul de Vence and the City of Nice.
- Other entertainment includes shopping, the casinos & nightlife of Cannes, boat trips, cinemas, wine tasting, or just good old relaxing on the beach!
Facilities
- Living room: is one studio room, with a double sofa bed (140x200 cm), a single sofa bed (90x200cm), a table and two chairs, a TV (International), a DVD player, wardrobes, and French windows onto a sunny balcony.
- Kitchen: is along one wall and is well equipped with a mini oven, microwave, 2 ring hob, fridge, washing machine, coffee machine and toaster. There is also an iron and ironing board.
- Bathrooms: there is a shower room of the entrance hall, with a shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.
- Outside: the apartment has a sunny balcony with table and chairs, with reaching views over the surrounding forests and countryside. There is a parking place in the underground car park.
- Swimming pool: there are 3 swimming pools here; one for babies, one for children and one full sized pool.
- Internet: connection is not available here - sorry.
- Telephone: is not available here -sorry.
- Baby facilities: a baby cot can be made available upon request.
- Winter heating: is included in the rental cost.
- Electric & water: are both included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: there is a charge of 45 Euros payable directly to the owners.
- Bed & bathroom linen: in France, towels and bedroom linen are not usually included in the rental so please remember to take your own. Alternatively, the owner can provide bed linen for 8 euros per person and towels for 5 euros per person.
- Taxe de Séjour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. On this property it is 0.92 euros per person, per day, and is paid directly to the owner.
- Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of up to 420 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Change over day: is normally a Saturday.
- Long weekend stays: are not possible at this property – sorry.
- Pets: are not permitted at this property - sorry.
- Smoking: is not permitted inside this property – sorry.
How To Get There
- By Car – The roads and autoroutes in France are a pleasure, so driving can sometimes make a good alternative to flying – at least you’ll already have your car with you! From the UK you have the choice of using the ferries or the Eurotunnel for your crossing. Once in the South of France, this property can be easily accessed via the A8 autoroute.
- By Air – Nice-Cote d’Azur is the nearest international airport - approximately 20 kilometres away. There are daily flights from the UK with British Airways, British Midland, Easyjet and Jet2.
- By Train – Eurostar runs from London to Paris city centres and then the high speed TGV service runs from Paris to Nice.
