General Description

  • Situated in the exceptional surroundings of the Saumane golf course, this superb residence consists of small Provencal style houses divided into apartments.

  • Here in the gentle foothills of Provence, there is an abundance of nature, from fields of olive trees and lavender, sunflowers and vineyards that surround you.

  • There are one and two bedroom apartments available in four different configurations making them comfortable for between 2 and 8 people.

  • They all have their own terrace or balcony so you can relax with your evening aperitifs, accompanied by the song of the cicadas which inhabit the beautiful countryside.

  • You also have access to some superb facilities including a swimming pool, gymnasium and 2 tennis courts.

  • There is also a superb restaurant on site which has two terraces, one which traps the morning sun with a view of the 1st hole and the other the evening sun with a view of the 18th.

  • Provence Country Club’s new restaurant is open from 8h00 to 22h00 everyday, along with its adjoining Bar

  • There is also a conference room and business centre available on site with access to both internet and fax.

The Local Area

  • The golf is the most obvious activity and the facilities and course are sure not to disappoint! 

  • You get a real flavour of Provence on this course, the air full with the scent of the surrounding vegetation; fragrant lavender, rosemary and thyme, enhanced if you should have to enter the rough!

  • The course is a real challenge as well.  Thoughtfully laid out, it is a beautiful 18 hole, 6610 metre par 72 course which benefits from perfectly maintained greens and fairways

  • Besides the golf, there is plenty more to see and do in the area; Medieval hilltop Provencal villages (Gordes and La Coste), the antiques centre of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, the red ochre town of Rousillion or just plain old beautiful French countryside - they are all on your doorstep from the Provence Country Club.

  • There are plenty of local markets to visit; all the big ones are nearby, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles and the melon centre of the world, Cavaillon! However, the smaller local farmers markets, found in all the villages on different days, are also well worth a visit

  • For a Roman theme how about Saint Remy de Provence or Les Baux de Provence (the 2nd most visited attraction in France), both are just a short drive away.

  • Sports and activities include excellent canoeing, walking, cycling, fishing, tennis and horseriding.

Facilities

·         Living room: The tastefully decorated lounge is equipped with a sofa and a coffee table, as well as a pull out bed. There is also a TV and DVD in each apartment which are now included in the price.

·         Kitchen: The kitchen includes pretty much everything you’ll need - a dishwasher, refrigerator, 4 ceramic cooking hobs, microwave and cafetière.  Washing and drying machines are available on site, (tokens on sale from reception).

·         Bedrooms: The apartment is equipped with two dedicated bedrooms.  One is a twin room, with two single beds, and the other is a single room.  On request, it may be possible to have a sixth bed added to the second bedroom.

·         Bathrooms: This apartment has a bathroom, sink and WC, (most apartments have a separate WC).

·         Outside: The ground and first floor apartments are ideally situated between the 3rd and 5th fairways, and each apartment has a private terrace or balcony, which comes equipped with furniture.  In addition, residents are free to use the club’s facilities, which include a driving range, 18-hole golf course, clubhouse with bar, restaurant and various gardens and terraces.   There’s also a parking space for each apartment.

·         Swimming pool: Guests have access to the property’s excellent swimming pool and gymnasium.

·         Baby facilities: Cots and high chairs are available for a supplement of 29 and 15 Euros respectively, per week.

·         Internet: A free WiFi internet connection is provided at the main reception/business area for guests to use

·         Telephone: Unfortunately, no telephone connection is provided at this property

·         Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.

·         Winter heating: This is included in the rental cost.

·         End-of-stay cleaning: The end-of-stay cleaning is an optional service, provided at a supplement of 12 Euros per person per week, with a minimum fee of 56 Euros.

·         Bed & bathroom linen: Beds are made for your arrival and both bedroom and bathroom linen are now supplied and included in the price.

·         Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It costs roughly 0.85 Euros per person per day, and is payable upon arrival at the property

·         Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit, payable on arrival, and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

·         Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible

·         Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.

·         Pets: Pets are permitted at this property, although there is an additional supplement, (30 Euros), so please let us know before you bring yours. 

How To Get There

  • By CarSaumane is situated near to L’Isle sur la Sorgue just 10-15 minutes away from Cavaillon, off the A7 autoroute

  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away

  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 25 minutes away
