General Description

  • Mas St Delphine is a very impressive Provencal farmhouse that dates back to the 18th Century.  The  property is set in 50 acres of private land so once you’re within the substantial walled grounds you can be sure of privacy and tranquility.  Ancient plane trees, that so epitomize the French countryside, offer some shade near the house and the large heated pool is perfect for cooling off, or even some exercise!
  • The Mas has been very tastefully renovated and decorated in a traditional Provencal style, using wrought iron, local stone and exposed ceiling beams. The spacious interior is elegantly furnished, resulting in a relaxed and beautiful environment where you can unwind and slip into the Provencal way of life.
  • There are 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, located in 2 separate wings of the Mas, connected by a central entranceway.  There’s plenty of space both inside and out so it’s a perfect location for a large family or group of friends to holiday together.
  • Although the Mas is set in a secluded spot at the foothills of the Luberon National Park, it’s actually just on the outskirts of the small village of Les Taillades and only 3km from the larger town of Cavaillon, which has great shopping and dining out facilities.

The Local Area

  • Located on the edge of the Luberon, there are loads of outdoor activities available close to the Mas. If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for hiking, cycling, mountain biking and tennis.  There’s also golf and horseback riding located nearby.  And you can’t leave without participating in a game of the local sport, boules. National Park
  • The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find loads of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Maubec) on the doorstep and no doubt you'll want to stop and take some refreshments!
  • There’s a lot to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.
  • Many of the local villages have their own markets for you to explore, abundant with a variety of local produce such as fresh breads, vegetables, cheese and herbs, all within a short drive. You could visit the bustling Farmers market in Coustellet or Cavaillon market (famous for melons!) or try the one at the nearby village of Maubec, held every Sunday morning from May to November – the choice seems endless!
  • If eating and restaurants are a favourite, you will be spoilt for choice nearby.  Most of the towns and villages have great spots to get some good food and there are also some gems waiting to be found, tucked away in converted farmhouses in the heart of the Provencal countryside. If there’s a chef in your party, you can stock up on provisions at the nearest supermarket in Cavaillon, just 3km away.
