General Description

  • MAS ST CHARLES really is one of our best finds yet in this beautiful part of Provence. The house faces south across a vast and spectacular private valley, planted with truffle oaks and lavender, just two minutes drive from the village of Buoux in the Luberon National Park.
  • Seemingly miles from anywhere with its wide-open spaces, tranquility and wildlife, this lovely stone house is equidistant between the market town of Apt and the medieval and exquisite town of Lourmarin with its galleries and restaurants.
  • The surrounding countryside is very well known for rock climbing and hiking and with a fabulous old Chateau and an extraordinary medieval fort nearby, the area is also a painter and photographers’ delight.
  • Nestled on several hectares of land with lavender fields, truffle oaks and natural bush land, Mas St Charles is close to what one imagines in the picture books of Provence.
  • It is a delightful stone house with sage green shutters and picture windows and doors framing beautiful views. Inside the house are thick stone walls, tiled floors and exposed beams of traditional Provencal architecture. Because of its position, light floods the house from dawn to sunset. There is also a pretty pool set away from the house. All this in a closed garden and amidst truffle oaks of 4 acres.
  • Please note, minimum of 2 consecutive weeks bookings in July and August. This house is available for rental all year round.
