  • It has its own entrance, driveway and parking as well as a pool and side terrace, both of which are private and unseen from the owner’s side

  • Seemingly miles from anywhere with its wide-open spaces, tranquility and wildlife, this lovely stone house is equidistant between the market town of Apt and the medieval and exquisite town of Lourmarin with its galleries and restaurants.

  • The surrounding countryside is very well known for rock climbing and hiking and with a fabulous old Chateau and an extraordinary medieval fort nearby, the area is also a painter and photographers’ delight.

  • Nestled on 120 acres of land with lavender fields, truffle oaks and natural bush land, Mas St Albert is a traditional and beautiful old property, lovingly and very tastefully renovated.
  • Please note this property is only available between April and October.
  • Please note only bookings of 2 consecutive weeks or more during July and August.

  • The scenery around this part of the Luberon is stunning.  There are views in all directions and the property is ideally placed for some marvellous countryside. walks.

  • There is Tennis available in Apt or Bonnieux, horseback riding in Apt and mountain bikes for rent in Bonnieux.  
  • There are some excellent restaurants in the area, in particular, in Buoux, the Auberge de la Loube.  
  • If you like the idea of a visit to the coast, you can easily go to the coast in the morning, take a swim in the warm waters of the and return in the early evening. Mediterranean

Facilities

  • Living room: The spacious living/dining area, like the rest of the property, is beautifully decorated to give and authentic Provencal feel.  It’s equipped with a comfortable sofa, coffee table and chairs, as well as dining facilities for the six occupants.  There’s also a small sitting room with TV and fireplace.
  • Kitchen: The open plan kitchen is generously equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, oven, washing machine and dishwasher.  An interesting feature of this kitchen is the genuine bread oven, adding to the authentic atmosphere of the property.
  • Bedrooms: There are three bedrooms in this property.  On the ground floor, there’s a double room containing a queen-sized bed, (can be made into two singles if required).  Upstairs, there are two more bedrooms – one double with a queen sized bed, and one twin – that both have ensuite bathrooms.
  • Bathrooms: In total, there are three bathrooms in this property.  One is located downstairs, and is equipped with a bath and two washbasins, along with a separate WC.  The other bathrooms are ensuite rooms attached to the two upstairs bedrooms.  Both contain a bathtub, washbasin and separate toilet.
  • Outside: The property has its own private terrace, which is accessed through large French doors from the living area.  It is shaded by two mulberry trees, allowing you to comfortably enjoy your lunch. In addition, it is possible to find facilities for the local game, boules.  The property itself is set in 120 acres of lavender fields, truffle oaks, and natural bushland, providing a great sense of being in the countryside.
  • Swimming pool: The property has a private swimming pool, located just 30m from the house.  It is a perfect size, (8.5m x 4.3m and 1.6m deep), for taking a quick deap to cool off as you lounge around during the pleasant summer days!  The pool is open from the 1st June to the end of September.
  • Internet: There is high speed internet connection available at this property.
  • Telephone: A telephone line is provided at this property.
  • Baby facilities: A cot and high chair are available to hire on request, so just let us know what you’ll need when you book.
  • Winter heating: Winter heating is included in the cost of your holiday.
  • Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: The owner includes an end of stay clean at this property except the kitchen which they request that clients ensure is clean upon departure (ie oven, fridge etc). However, should you not have time to clean the kitchen, the owner includes 100 Euros in the damage deposit to cover end-of-stay cleaning here.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: Bed and bathroom linen is provided by the owner, and has been included in the cost of your holiday.
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 1000 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.  Included in this is 100 Euros to cover end-of-stay cleaning should it be required, (see above).
  • Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible. 
  • Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted at this property - sorry.
  • Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside this property – sorry.
  • Other services: A maid service can be arranged, (13€/hr) – please let us know if you will require this.
  • Please note this property is available only between April and October

How To Get There

  • By Car - The village of Buoux lies just 2 minutes away and Apt and Bonnieux are 10 minutes drive.   Avignon and Aix-en-Provence: 50 minutes drive and Marseille airport is just over the hour.
  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 60 minutes drive away
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away
