The Local Area

  • Maussane les Alpilles is a village well serviced with bakers, butchers, grocers, bank and a post office.
  • There is a weekly market, cafes, bars and restaurants and a swimming pool, all of which are within walking distance of this house...
  • It's also a great location for touring and leisure; there is a golf course just on the doorstep of the village, as are the cycling, walking and horse riding paths across the beautiful Alpilles.
  • Maussane is also situated in the heart of one of the best the Olive growing regions of Provence - a panorama of Olive Groves with stunning limestone scenery as the backdrop surrounds the village.

Facilities

  • Living room: The living area is centred around a stone fireplace, and contains two sofas, a flat screen TV, DVD player, stereo system and even a stocked bookshelf, (French language books!), as well as dining facilities for the occupants.  There, as with the rest of the property, the decor has a light, traditional, feel to it.
  • Kitchen: There is a separate well-equipped kitchen, which contains an oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, coffe machine, kettle, toaster, juicer - everthing you could think of and want really!
  • Bedrooms: The four bedrooms provide plenty of space, and are equipped with comfortable beds.  There is one twin room and a double room, as well as a smaller single room, containing a larger single bed.  Finally, there’s a triple room, with a double bed and single bed, which is arranged as a suite, with a dressing room and a bathroom that contains a full-size bath and WC.
  • Bathrooms: As well as the aforementioned ensuite room, there is a separate bathroom containing a WC, full-size bath, (with massage shower), and washbasin.
  • Other rooms: This property has its own storeroom, providing valuable extra space to store those suitcases when you arrive!
  • Outside: The house has a garden/terrace on its north and south side, 200 sq metres and 120 sq metres respectively, pergola on the north side and private parking. There is also plenty of furniture in the gardens, (including a BBQ!), for eating outside on those lovely warm Provencal evenings!
  • Swimming pool: Is in the privacy of the rear garden and measures 7.5 m X 3.5m, allowing guests to take a dip to cool off!  It is protected by a pool alarm.
  • Internet: Wifi internet access is available at the house.
  • Telephone: There is a telephone line for incoming calls, please ask for the number if you need it.
  • Baby facilities: A cot and high chair is available on request, so please let us know what you need when you book
  • Winter heating: Winter heating is included in the cost of your holiday.
  • Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: This is included in the rental cost.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: All bed and bathroom linen, along with pool towels and household linen is provided by the owner, and is included in the rental cost.
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit on arrival of 30% of the rental cost.  This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible
  • Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.
  • Pets: Pets are not permitted at this property - sorry.

How To Get There

  • By Car - Maussane is situated approximately 30 minutes south of Avignon, 15 minutes north of Salon-de-Provence and 20 minutes to the east of Arles. 
  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away  
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 25 minutes away
