The Local Area

  • The property is situated in the countryside close to the village of Saignon.  The town of Apt (4.5km from the property) is a typically Provencal market town.  It has a great selection of shops, including  plenty of boulangeries for your morning croissant and some good restaurants and cafes.

  • The winding roads of the Luberon, with spectacular views, are great to explore and you'll find lots of picturesque villages (Gordes, Menerbes, Bonnieux) on the doorstep.

  • There's loads to do and see in the area; St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture, Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations, L'Isle sur la Sorgue, famous as an antique centre and market. Also within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence.

  • If activity is your thing, this area is perfect for walking, climbing, cycling, mountain biking, trekking, golf, tennis and swimming.

  • Utility room: There is also a ‘wash house’, with washing machine and tumble dryer
  • Bedrooms: There are four bedrooms in the property – three doubles and a twin. With the property being single-storey, all the bedrooms are on the same level.
  • Bathrooms: There are 3 shower rooms, (each with a WC), as well as a bathroom and separate WC, meaning there are rarely any queues at busy times!
  • Other rooms: The property also has an office and a cellar
  • Outside: The property is set within 5 ha of grounds, and the well-kept gardens are kept lush by an automatic watering system, ensuring that the property is as pleasant as possible. There’s also a covered terrace with furniture and a BBQ, as well as parking space.
  • Swimming pool: The private swimming pool measures 9.5m x 4.5m, and is ideal for a refreshing dip during the warm summers
  • Internet: An ADSL internet connection is available at this property
  • Telephone: There is an incoming calls connection at this property
  • Baby facilities: Baby facilities are not available here we're afraid
  • Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: The owner requests that the house, including bathrooms and kitchen, are left in the same neat and tidy state as they were when you arrived. A charge of 150€ may be levied if extra cleaning is required.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: This is included in the rental cost.
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 1000 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: The change over day is Saturday.
  • Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted as this property is only rented during the summer season.
  • Pets: Sorry, pets are not permitted at this property.

  • By Car - The town of Apt lies just off the N100, approximately 50 minutes East of Avignon 
  • By AirAvignon, Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away 
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away
