It’s a fantastic renovation of an old 17th century town house, situated in the middle of the popular village of Roussillon. It rambles over different floors and levels, both inside and out. Take a walk outside and enjoy the garden and outside space, tumbling down the hillside via a number of terraces, to your own private 8m X 4m swimming pool.

Everything really is on hand here, a couple of minutes or less to walk to the boulangerie, cafes, bars and restaurants

The Local Area

Roussillon is classified as ‘One of the most Beautiful Villages in France’. It is situated in the midst of Peter Mayles famed Provencal landscapes.

It has a lovely 16th Century church at its centre and enough small shops and facilities (eg boulangeries, post office, cafes and restaurants) to keep most visitors well stocked on whatever they need. There is also a weekly market on a Thursday which is well worth a visit.

There are endless possibilities for different activities in the area; Walking through the famous Red Ochre forest surrounding the village, cycling the pathways of the Luberon Regional Park, horse riding in nearby Joucas. Or for something a little different, how about some hot air ballooning in nearby St Saturnin les Apt!

As well as the facilities on your doorstep, there are more facilities available a little further a field. Apt (12kms) has good supermarkets, as does Cavaillon (20kms) and of course Avignon (45kms).

Restaurants are abundant both in the the village and in the surrounding countryside. There are also a large number of beautiful villages within about 2-10kms away (Gordes, Bonnieux, Menerbes, Isle sur la Sorgue etc)
Facilities
- Living room: Lots of space in an open plan contemporary style with a fireplace at its heart.
- Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen with views over the narrow side street has everything you’ll need, including a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher.
- Bedrooms: There are four bedrooms, three doubles and one twin bedded room
- Bathrooms: One is ensuite with Bedroom 1 and has a WC, a Philippe Starck shower, and basin. There are 2 other bathrooms each opposite a bedroom. One has a bath and twin basins and WC, the other a shower, basin and WC. Then in another bedroom there is another en suite, which has a basin and WC. There's also a WC in the garage.
- Other rooms: There is also another TV room, ideal for children or a reading room. There is also an extensive DVD and music collection in the property.
- Outside: As with the rest of the accommodation, the garden is across a number of levels. There are panoramic views from the terrace at the top level, leading down to the lower level where the pool can be found. A BBQ and garden furniture is also supplied to get the most out of those long summer evenings!
- Swimming pool: The pool is a good size at 9m X 4m, and there are five loungers for you to use here
- Internet: There wifi internet access at the house
- Telephone: There is a telephone line installed
- Baby facilities: Cot and high chair are available upon request
- Winter heating: During the cooler months of the year, there may be a supplement for winter heating where required
- Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: This is included in the rental cost.
- Bed & bathroom linen: This is all included in the rental cost.
- Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
- Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 600 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Change over day: Usually Saturday but flexible in low season months
- Long weekend stays: In low season months only, upon request
- Pets: Are not permitted at this property - sorry.
- Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside this property – sorry.
How To Get There

By Car - The village of Roussillon lies just 12 kms away from Apt, about 20kms from Cavaillon and Carpentras. Avignon and Aix-en-Provence are 50 minutes drive and Marseille airport is just over the hour.

By Air – Avignon, Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 60 minutes drive away maximum

By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away
