General Description

  • Situated within 200m of the town of Uzés, these apartments are ideally situated for absorbing the local history and culture.

  • Here in the beautiful Cévennes hills, there is an abundance of nature, from fields of olive trees and lavender, to the sunflowers and vineyards that surround you.

  • The apartments are available in three different configurations, making them comfortable for between 4 and 7 people.  Each apartment is equipped with satellite TV, (for a small supplement), internet access, air conditioning and a well-equipped kitchen.

  • They all have their own terrace or balcony so you can relax with your evening aperitifs, accompanied by the song of the cicadas that inhabit the beautiful countryside.

  • You also have access to some superb facilities including a swimming pool, solarium and well-kept garden, stocked with native plants.

The Local Area

  • The property is just 200m from the centre of Uzés, which is a protected historical monument, thanks to its mixture of medieval stone houses and 16th century architecture.  Being a reasonably sized town, there’s also loads of shopping on your doorstep!
  • There’s loads of culture right on your doorstep: musical soirées in Uzès, theatre in Avignon, dance and classical music in Montpellier, jazz in Junas, French songs in Barjac and the ‘Chorégies d’Orange’ opera festival.
  • There are plenty of local markets to visit.  All the big ones are nearby: Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Marseilles and the melon centre of the world, Cavaillon! The smaller local farmers markets, found in all the villages on different days, are also well worth a visit.  There’s also a biweekly market in the town of Uzés itself, (Wednesday and Saturday), which is well worth a visit.
  • For a Roman theme, how about Saint Remy de Provence or Les Baux de Provence (the 2nd most visited attraction in France)?  Alternatively, there’s the magnificent Palace of the Popes in Avignon, the tranquil bamboo gardens at Anduze, and there’s even a working steam train that runs through the Cévennes hills!
  • Sports and activities include excellent canoeing, walking, cycling, fishing, tennis, golf and horseriding.
