The Local Area

  • Mouries is a village well serviced with bakers, butchers, grocers, bank and a post office.

  • There is a weekly market, cafes, bars and restaurants, all of which are within walking distance of this house, only a stroll away at 600m from the centre of the village.

  • Markets can also be found at a host of other local towns; St Remy de Provence, Maussane and Arles to mention just a few.

 

  • It's also a great location for touring and leisure; there is tennis in the village, a golf course just on the doorstep of the village, as are the cycling, walking and horse riding paths across the beautiful Alpilles.

 

  • Mouries is also situated in the heart of one of the best the Olive growing regions of Provence - a panorama of Olive Groves, with stunning limestone scenery as the backdrop, surrounds the village.

  • You’ll find the nearest larger supermarket at St Martin de Crau, just 9km away. 

Facilities

  • Living area: The spacious living room is equipped with a sofa-bed and dining facilities for the occupants.  It's also air conditioned, to provide a break from the summer heat. TVs are also available for an additional charge of 40 euros per week
  • Kitchen: The kitchenette is well-equipped for a comfortable stay, with a mini oven or microwave, hob, fridge, dishwasher and even a coffee maker.
  • Bedrooms: There are three bedrooms in each property located on the first floor, each equipped with either double, twin or bunk beds.
  • Bathrooms: There is a bathroom and a separate shower room locted on the first floor of the property, as well as a separate WC.
  • Outside: Each property has its own well-maintained garden, as well as a terrace on the first floor.  In addition to this, there are numerous beautifully-maintained green areas situated around the complex, as well as a number of paths to provide calming strolls through the groves of Cypres trees. Charcoal BBQs are not allowed due to the risk of forest fire but if you would like, there are electric BBQs available to hire for 20 euros per week.
  • Swimming pool: The shared swimming pool, ideal for a refreshing dip during the summer, is surrounded by tranquil gardens.  It is open from April to September (depending on the weather) and it is also heated in the cooler weeks.
  • Internet: There is a WiFi internet connection available at reception for a supplement.
  • Telephone: Unfortunately, no telephone connection is provided at this property.
  • Baby facilities:  Baby facilities are available for hire.  The charge is 21 euros per week and includes a baby chair, cot and bath.
  • Winter heating: Both heating and air conditioning are incuded in the rental price.
  • Gas, electric, & water: These are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning:  If you would like to avoid having to clean the property at the end of your stay, the owners can arrange an end-of-stay cleaning for an additional charge of 60 Euros.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: Bed linen can be hired for 12 euros per bed and bathroom towels are available for rent at 6 euros per person per week.
  • Taxe de Sejour: In France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. This works out at approximately 0.60 Euros per adult per week.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 250 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.  
  • Change over day: The change over day is Saturday during the high season, although during the low season flexibility is possible
  • Long weekend stays: These are not usually permitted during the high season, although flexibility is possible during the low season.
  • Pets: Well-behaved pets are allowed here for an additional fee of 39 Euros per week.

How To Get There

·         By Car - Mauries is situated approximately 30 minutes drive south of Avignon, 15 minutes north of Salon-de-Provence and 20 minutes to the east of Arles

 

·         By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away.

 

·         By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 25 minutes away
