  • With ancient plane trees   bordering the farm and lush green fields  reaching into the distance, the Luberon and Alpilles mountains showing their characteristic silhouettes, it is  truly a setting which can  only be described as distinctively Provencal.
  • A short distance away is the attractive 16th century village with cobbled streets, and narrow alleyways, not only great for sightseeing, but useful for local cafes and shopping. of Alleins
  • The two gites have been stylishly converted from a section of the old farm, each with their own front door and garden area where you will find attractive garden furniture to relax on, or eat outside. The interiors which are bright and friendly incorporate many of the original features. 

The Local Area

  • Alleins, is 3kms from the farm, the position of this delightful village make it a perfect starting point for excursions into the region.  The options are endless from pretty, stone, French hamlets to historic towns such as Aix en Provence and Avignon. Outings to the seaside also can be done within the hour. For croissants and delicious French bread there is a choice of bakeries, cafes for the accompanying coffee or perhaps a drink before sunset.
  •  Walking, biking, horse riding, boules, tennis, and the fantastic Pont Royal golf course at Mallemort
  • The market in Alleins on Tuesday mornings is an occasion to shop for local produce. Larger markets can be found in Senas 6kms away and Salon de Provence 13kms.   Markets can also be found at a host of other nearby towns, Isle le Sorgue, famous for antiques & Cavaillon well known for its tasty melons. sur
  • Plenty of restaurants with a variety of prices and menus are in close proximity of your holiday home.
  • You’ll find the nearest larger supermarket in Mallemort 5kms distance away.

  • Outside:  This Gite has a lovely gravelled garden with outdoor seating and dining area decorated with pot plants.
  • Swimming pool: Not available on site but there is an excellent local pool in Salon de Provence

  • Winter heating: This has already been included in the cost of the rental.

  • Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 200 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: can be negotiated.
  • Long weekend stays: are possible, unpon request.

  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes are the nearest - approximately 60 minutes drive away Airports
  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, to Aix en Provence
