General Description

• Under the sun in this sumptuous Provencal setting, with every angle providing a photo opportunity. This lovingly restored XV111 stone country house situated in its own vineyard is an ideal way to discover the beauty of Provence, or just relax by the pool & soak up the sun.

• This converted silk farm, has 4 delightful cottages. Each one distinctive, decorated in the sunny colours of Provence, furnished with taste and style.  This one, Gite St Thomas measures 80 metres squared.

• The properties are located in the northern foothills of the Luberon Mountains, surrounded by pinewoods, wild herbs and vineyards, offering the tranquillity of the countryside, but only a short walk to the village of Maubec.

•  Each cottage is individual, on two levels, completely self contained. With full kitchen facilities, comfortable sitting area with wood burning fire, bright modern en suite bathrooms, and luxurious bedrooms with French linens and silk accents.

• Each cottage has its own terrace, which are furnished for outside dinning. There is a large infinity pool set amongst the cherry trees, olives, roses and vines.
• Please Note: This gite is only available for reservations of 2 or more consecutive weeks from mid July to the end of August.

The Local Area

•  Maubec a quiet village at the foot of the Luberon Mountains, with it’s own bakers, village shop, restaurant, bar and post office.

• Activities include tennis courts, walking and biking trails with an excellent golf course less than 10 kms away

• Maubec has been in the history books since the 12^th century, it’s stunning old village, mountain scenery, olive groves, cherry trees and vineyards make it a small paradise waiting to be discovered.

•  There is a Farmers market in nearby Coustellet (3kms) and other markets can be found in Oppede, Isle sur la Sorgue (famous for antiques) and Cavaillon (best melons in Europe)

• You’ll find the nearest supermarket in Cavaillon, 7km away.

Facilities

• Living room: For 4 people. Decorated in the soft colours of Provence. Terracotta floors, Provencal design ceilings offer a haven of great charm and style and for relaxation there is a sofa and television

• Dining room: Naturally, table and chairs provided for 4.

• Kitchen: Fully fitted corner kitchen, with dishwasher, electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, charcoal grilled BBQ outside

• Utility room Shared utility room with washer and dryer

• Bedrooms: One double bedded bedroom (150) and the other bedroom has a bed which can be 2 separate beds or bolted together make a double of 160cm

• Bathrooms: In this Gite there are  en suite bathrooms with each bedroom, one bathroom with a stand up shower and one with bath and shower attachments, both with WC

• Outside:  Each cottage has its own  terrace with table and chairs for al fresco dining probably accompanied by some of the local award winning wine plus deck chairs for sunbathing and relaxing while you indulge in the scenery of the Luberon and Monts Vaucluse.

• Swimming pool: infinity pool 12m by 8m shared by the properties surrounded by cherry trees, roses, olives and vines. This area is securely fenced for child safety.

• Internet: Wi Fi access is available

• Telephone: No access in the cottages

• Baby facilities: There is a cot available but no high chair

• Winter heating: there is a charge for out of season electricity but there are lovely open wood-burning fires

• Gas, electric, & water: electric and water included, but there is a charge for out of season electricity, gas not included

• End-of-stay cleaning: Included in the price

• Bed & bathroom linen: High quality bed and bathroom linen is included

• Taxe de Sejour: This has been included here in the rental cost.

• Damage deposit:. Not required

• Change over day: Saturday

• Pets: small ones accepted on request

• Smoking: outside only

How To Get There

• By Car – Maubec is a 20 minute drive from the Cavaillon exit on the motorway A7
• By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 60 minutes drive away plus Avignon airport which 40 minutes where Flybe flies from Southampton and Exeter
• By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 50 minutes away
