  • You can sit outside on the terrace and admire the stunning views over the vineyards to the hills beyond whilst sampling the delicious rose and red wines produced at the Chateau.
  • This gite is 140 sq.m. and comprises three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining area and kitchen and a large outside terrace with a barbecue for alfresco dining.
  • Within the large grounds of the chateau is a fresh water spring fed bathing pond (please see more details of this below) where you'll find plenty of space to relax on the sun-loungers.
  • You are also free to wander around the extensive grounds and sit in the shade of the chestnut groves or under the many mature trees.
  • Gite Cabaret is a perfect place if you are looking for peace and tranquility and a relaxing holiday away from it all.

The Local Area

  • The local village of Salleles Cabardes is approximately 3kms away; and the stunning medieval city of Carcassonne just 15 kms away.  The nearest boulangerie, restaurant/bar and grocery shop are 5 kms away - however breakfast can be provided for you for a small additional cost if you wish, please enquire.
  • Sports Facilities:  This is an ideal area if you are walkers, cyclists or motorcyclists. - locally you'll find the national walking route, the GR36.  There's a trout pond for those who like fishing.  You can also enjoy rock climbing, pot holing, and caving.  There are golf courses at both Carcassonne and Mazemet.
  • Sightseeing: There's much to see and do around here - the best attractions are: the Medieval city of Carcassonne (15kms), the Gouffre de Cabrespine - a gigantic underground chasm (truly not to be missed!) 5kms, the Cathar Castle at Lastours (5kms), Minerve (27kms), Caunes-Minervois (10kms), Limoux (34kms), Revel (37kms), Orlagues (48kms) and the Mediterranean beaches (40kms).
