Can Juano
General Description
· Located in the rural north of the island this 300 year old villa is not to be missed! Private pool, children’s play area and a well tended orchard make for the perfect family holiday.
· Dining under the stars or indoors next to the open fire, Can Juano is an exceptional property. Original features and all mod cons, as well of course as the Jacuzzi in the pool. With three large bedrooms and two large family bathrooms, plus one smaller bedroom with bathroom en-suite, this villa easily accommodates eight people (two cots also available!) and has the added advantage of 150,000 m2 of surrounding land. A true relaxing getaway!
· Only ten minutes from the unspoilt sheltered beach of Benirrás, where impromptu, acoustic concerts are held during the summer months at sunset.
· A five minute drive from the village of San Miguel with its 18th century church, one of the oldest on the island, and beautiful fishing port. A host of family run bars and restaurants and a secluded natural sandy beach protected by pine covered hills. Can Juano is also ideally placed to visit the neighbouring villages of San Juan and San Carlos and of course only 30 minutes away from the glamour and buzz of Ibiza town.
The Local Area
· Beaches: Only 5 minutes from the nearest beach, Can Juano has a unique location in the unspoilt north of the island. Benirrás beach, a favourite for snorkelling, is a short ride away. A beautiful approach brings you to this small bay surrounded by pine clad hills, with two beach restaurants (both famous for excellent fish) and a quaint beach bar – perfect for sampling the local liqueur whilst listening to the live music at sun down.
· San Miguel: The north of the island could not be more different from the south and nothing demonstrates this more than the village of San Miguel. With its whitewashed buildings and 18th century church, it is without doubt, a taste of the real Ibiza.
· Sightseeing: No visit to San Miguel is complete without seeing the Can Marca caves. Over 100,000 years old, the caves were first used by smugglers and are exceptionally well preserved today.
· Water Sports: There are a myriad of water sports to chose from including water skiing, diving and paragliding.
· Dining: The north of Ibiza has some of the best dining on the island. From family run restaurants with fresh food of the day, to the famous “Bambuddah Grove” (only 20 minutes away) where you can dine in the company of the rich and famous.
Facilities
· Living room: entry from the courtyard leads you directly to the heart of the villa, with its impressive staircase, high ceilings and antique beams. Open plan to the television room with comfortable sofas, soft furnishings and access to the kitchen on your left.
· Dining room: dining for eight indoors. Choose from the dining table next to the fireplace or alternatively the large dining table in the open plan area next to the kitchen. Or indeed the dining area available next to the pool!
· Kitchen: Country style kitchen with all mod cons. Electric hob an oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and freezer, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and even a juice squeezer for the oranges from the garden.
· Utility room: iron & ironing board. Washing machine.
· Bedrooms: Four in total. Three spacious double bedrooms, decorated to a very high standard with views out over the gardens (ample room for a cot in all if required). Fourth bedroom has room for one double sofa bed and despite not being as large as the other three bedrooms, has the advantage of its own en-suite bathroom.
· Bathrooms: Two modern stylish family bathrooms, both with baths that have showers over. Both bathrooms are large with double washbasins and WC. There is also an en-suite shower room attached to the fourth bedroom.
· Outside: Private parking, large beautifully tended gardens (including children’s play area!) and orchard. In-built barbecue on terrace next to the swimming pool.
· Swimming pool: private pool with in-built Jacuzzi set in the gardens. All sun loungers etc provided.
· Internet: not available here - sorry.
· Telephone: There is no landline telephone available at this property, but mobile reception is good.
· Baby facilities: two baby cots are available here upon request.
· Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 600 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
· Bed & bathroom linen: included in the rental cost.
· Gas, electric & water: all included in the rental cost.
· Winter heating: has been priced separately, to give you the option to use it. It is charged at the rate of 30 Euros per week, paid directly to the owner. There is also air cooling in the bedrooms and living room, and this is included in the price of a summer rental
· End-of-stay cleaning: included in the rental cost.
· Change over day: normally a Saturday however the owners may be flexible upon request. Stays of 2 week duration are preferred, but not essential, during July & August.
· Long weekend stays: Possible here - please ask for details.
· Pets: permitted here upon request - please ask for details.
· Smoking: Permitted inside this property
· Supplementary services: the owner is able to arrange the following services for you, at a supplement: Babysitter.
How To Get There
· By Air – Ibiza airport is only a 30 minute drive away. There are daily flights from the UK and worldwide - please see the timetables here www.aena.es. There are regular bus services from the airport every fifteen minutes as well as a taxi rank.
