General Description
- This unique, contemporary 1-bedroom apartment is right on the beach in Eze Bord-de-Mer, perfectly located between Nice and Monaco! You can enjoy the sound of the waves breaking on the beach as you drop off to sleep…….
- The apartment is approximately 57 sq metres and comprises of a living/dining room, a large double bedroom, a corner kitchen, a fabulous shower room, secured car parking, a beach front, south facing terrace and 180-degree views across the bay! It has been designed and furnished with impeccable taste.
- If you are going a group, there is also the option to rent the apartment next door; please take a look at “Apartments des Plages 2”.
- This apartment is in a fantastically serene location, in close proximity to Beaulieu and Villefranche-sur-Mer. It is also ideally placed to visit Monaco.
- It would be perfect for 2-4 people, and it makes a romantic hideaway for 2!
The Local Area
- Local shops, restaurants and a supermarket can all be found approximately 2km away in the neighbouring town of Beaulieu-sur-Mer. There is a boulangerie just 300 metres away and there are also restaurants and bars on the beach approximately 200 metres away.
- Local markets are held on a Monday, Friday and the weekends and you can buy fresh fish, fruit and vegetables.
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there is golf, tennis, fishing, diving, water-sports and of course, the beach! The owner includes the use of a windsurfer and a kayak at this location. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
- Beaches can be found outside your front door! Also the neighbouring beach in the bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer is beautiful.
- The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
- Getting around is very easy. A car is not necessary here, as a bus stop is just 50 metres away and the train station 200 metres!
- Sightseeing is endless; you are ideally placed here to tour the Cote d’Azur! The nearest places of interest are the medieval hilltop village of Eze, the Principality of Monaco, its port and famous casinos, the hillside highways of “les Trois Corniches”, the charming towns of Beaulieu and Villefranche-sur-Mer, a visit to the border town of Menton and a drive across to Italy!
- Other entertainment includes the Zoo at St Jean-Cap-Ferrat, train rides along the coast, boat trips, helicopter rides, al-fresco dining at local restaurants, a day out in Nice, a drive up into the hills and mountains, or just good old relaxing on the beach!
Facilities
- Living room: has its windows and doors opening right out onto the beach!! You can dine at the circular table whilst looking out over the bay and watching the waves break onto the beach! The living room also has a comfortable sofa bed for 2 people.
- Kitchen: is located at the rear of the apartment and is very stylish. It is fully equipped and has an oven/microwave, hob, fridge and coffee machine. There is also a washing machine, an iron and ironing board.
- Bedrooms: there is one very large bedroom with double bed, wardrobe, leather sofa, armchair, coffee table, TV (International), DVD, Video and a Hi-Fi. There is even a computer available with Internet connection! The lighting is adjustable by remote control!
- Bathrooms: there is a spacious shower room, which comes with a fantastic shower cubicle (with a seat & body jets), a washbasin, a WC and teak flooring.
- Outside: there is a teak-decked, south-facing terrace. It is overlooking the beach, and has a table, chairs, sun-awnings and plants. From here you have a view of the whole of the bay, the mountains beyond, and a small marina to your right! There is a secure car-parking place upstairs above the building (Please note: part of the road immediately outside this property is narrow and downhill, and it is therefore not possible to reach the parking place with very large vehicles like a 4x4. Small to medium cars however are not a problem).
- Swimming pool: is not available here, but you do have the Mediterranean Sea in front of you.
- Internet: connection is available for your laptop, in addition to a computer in the apartment.
- Telephone: is not available here -sorry.
- Baby facilities: a baby cot can be made available here upon request. Baby-sitting services are also available up on request.
- Winter heating: is included in the rental cost.
- Electric & water: are all included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: there is a charge of 30 Euros payable directly to the owners.
- Bed & bathroom linen: are included in the rental cost. Please note: Beach towels are not provided so it would be necessary to take your own.
- Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
- Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 500 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Change over day: is normally a Saturday but the owners may be flexible upon request.
- Long weekend stays: are not possible at this property – sorry.
- Pets: are permitted at this property upon request.
- Supplementary services: catering and babysitting services are available up on request.
How To Get There
- By Car – The roads and autoroutes in France are a pleasure, so driving can sometimes make a good alternative to flying – at least you’ll already have your car with you! From the UK you have the choice of using the ferries or the Eurotunnel for your crossing. Once in the South of France, this property can be easily accessed via the N98 from Nice.
- By Air – Nice-Cote d’Azur is the nearest international airport - approximately 25 kilometres away. There are daily flights from the UK with British Airways, British Midland, Easyjet and Jet2. There are regular bus and train services from the airport to Nice.
- By Train – Eurostar runs from London to Paris city centres and then the high speed TGV service runs from Paris to Nice. The nearest train station to this property is Eze, approximately 200 metres away.
