General Description

  • Apartment St Victoire is right in the heart of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue where you can enjoy the village life both night and day. Within a minute you can be buying your croissants for breakfast or enjoying a lunchtime aperitif on one of  the many pavement bars and cafes. 

  • The kitchen and shower room are brand new this year and have been well designed in a modern syle. With so much to do and enjoy in L’Isle you won’t need a car unless, of course, you want to experience more of Provence.  
  • Located on the first floor, the apartment is light and airy with windows overlooking the quiet street below.

The Local Area

 
  • L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a bustling, historic town surrounded by the river Sorgue with its ironwork bridges and working moss-encrusted water wheels. There’s an abundance of shops, cafes, restaurants all to enjoy and are just at the end of the street.
  • For those who enjoy a more active holiday why not hire a bike, go kayaking on the river or take to the mountains by foot. There is also golf nearby. 
  • Being in the heart of the Vaucluse, whichever way you leave the town you will discover villages of interest, mountains to explore and lots of vineyards where you can sample the wonderful array of wines of the region. There is plenty of information in the apartment to help you decide what to do next! 
  • The weekly morning Market is a large affair and is held every Thursday and Sunday. Wandering around the streets is a pleasure to the senses, from the smell of freshly hewn lavender to ripe goat's chesses, and where you can sample freshly baked breads and sip chilled wines. Also on Sundays you can meander through the famous open air Antiques Market which is open throughout the year and has lots of bric-a-brac and memorabilia for sale.

  • L’Isle is famed for its large selection of Restaurants and Cafe bar life where there are tasty morsels to suit every palate.

  • There are small Supermarkets in the town and large Hyper Markets on the outskirts. There also lots of market stalls around the town selling fresh, locally grown produce.

Facilities

  • Living/Dining Room: There is space enough in this apartment to dine and relax in comfort.  There’s a comfy sofa for two and the dining table for four, an international TV, a music system and a telephone for your use (landline numbers only).

  • Kitchen:  This brand new kitchen, with it’s new stone floor, is very modern and well equipped including a fridge, electric hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine. There’s a large window on to the ‘puit de lumiere’, giving lots of natural light into the kitchen.

  • Bedroom:  The bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe and chest of drawers giving you plenty of space for your clothes.  The window overlooks the quiet street.

  • Bathroom:  There is a brand new shower room, with a large walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet. The window, overlooking the street below, gives lots of natural light.

  • Parking:  There is no parking near the apartment but there are lots of public parking areas nearby.

  • Swimming Pool. There is no pool at this property. 

  • Internet: Connection is available for your laptop via Wi-Fi.

  • Telephone: Is available at the house and is free to landline numbers only. Calls to mobile numbers will be charged.

  • Baby facilities: This apartment is not suitable for babies.

  • Bed and bathroom linens: These are included in the rental cost but please bring your own beach towels if you're heading for the Med!

  • Winter heating: Is not included in the rental cost.

  • Gas, electric and water: Is included in the rental cost.

  • End-of-stay cleaning: Is included in the rental cost.

  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 150 Euros which is payable with the final payment.  This will be refunded to you, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

  • Change over day: Is normally Saturday, but please enquire.

  • Long weekend stays and mini breaks: May be possible, please enquire.

  • Pets: Are not permitted here - sorry.

  • Smoking: Is not permitted inside this property - sorry.

How To Get There

 

  • By Car –  A car is not necessary once you’re in L’Isle unless you want to explore the region. The nearest Autoroute travelling from the north or south is the A7. 
  • By Air - The nearest international airports to this property are Marseille, Nimes and Avignon.
  • By Train - The Eurostar/TGV high speed train runs from London to Avignon and Aix en Provence.
