  • It has its own terrace to allow some privacy, but also has access to the beautiful garden, designed and maintained by the amiable proprietors

  • It is very well equipped for 2-4 people and, due to its excellent location in the Alpilles hills, provides a great base for exploring the delights that can be found on the doorstep

 

The Local Area

  • The village of Le Paradou lies just south of the magnificent Alpilles range of mountains in the valley of 'Baux de Provence'.

  • Olive groves and vineyards line the country roads leading to the village, surrounded by spectacular views of the mountains

  • The village is a small quiet working agricultural village that is well protected by a mayor who succeeds in preventing the construction of ugly concrete housing. A village that offers the visitor a unique taste of Provençal life

  • Le Paradou sits at the heart of the Olive Oil producing area and many of the surrounding villages offer mill tours and tasting of locally produced oil

  • Just 15Km away you can visit St Remy-de-Provence, famous for its Roman architecture and Les Baux with its ruined castle and unique rock formations

  • Further afield but within easy reach are Pont du Gard, Avignon with the Palace of the Popes, Marseille with its famous waterfront, the Amphitheatre at Nimes and the cultured avenues of Aix-en-Provence

  • For the nature lover there is the Camargue including an ornithological park

 

Facilities

  • Living room: The living/dining room is furnished to a high standard with sofa and TV, as well as a dining area for four people. It is air conditioned, in case you wish to escape from the heat in the height of the summer.
  • Kitchen: The fully equipped kitchen contains an oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge and all the utensils and crockery for 4 people
  • Bedroom: The bedroom is stylishly furnished with a double bed, and has an excellent en-suite bathroom, which contains a shower cubicle and a massage shower
  • Bathroom: The en-suite bathroom is equipped to a superb standard, containing a toilet, sink and shower cubicle that includes a massage shower!
  • Outside: The apartment has its own private terrace, which leads onto a large 2000m2 garden.  There is also a BBQ area for you to enjoy the warm Provencal sunshine and those warm summer nights.
  • Swimming pool: This property does not have a swimming pool
  • Internet: Yes, there is wifi internet access at this property.
  • Telephone: Unfortunately, no telephone available here.
  • Baby facilities: A high chair is available on request
  • Winter heating: Winter heating and summer air conditioning are both included in the rental cost.
  • Gas, electric, & water: Are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: The owner requests that you leave the property in the same tidy state that you found it. However, to lift the chore of cleaning, the owner can arrange end-of-stay cleaning for 40 Euros.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: Is all included in the rental cost.
  • Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 160 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: Usually Saturday, although flexibility is possible during the low season
  • Long weekend stays: While these are not usually accepted during the high season, flexibility is possible during the quieter periods.  Please enquire.
  •  Pets: Pets are permitted at this property 

How To Get There

·          By Car - Le Paradou is situated approximately 30 minutes drive south of Avignon, 15minutes north of Salon-de-Provence and 20 minutes to the east of Arles

 

  • By Air - Marseille and Nimes Airports are the nearest - approximately 50 minutes drive away

  • By Train - The high speed TGV service runs directly from London or Paris to Avignon, approximately 25 minutes away
