General Description

 

  • A fantastic, contemporary, first floor 2-bedroom loft-apartment, in the centre of Nice, close to the old town, shops and beaches. The glass ceiling slides open to the sky!
  • The apartment is approximately 240 square metres and comprises of a huge open living/dining room, a stylish well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bath/shower rooms, a cosy “Moroccan themed” relaxation room, a utility room and a secure parking space. The apartment also has an indoor garden under the sliding glass roof.
  • It’s in a fantastic location in the centre of Nice and has easy access to public transport and the beach.
  • It would be perfect for a small family or a group of friends holidaying together.

 

The Local Area

 

  • Local shops, restaurants and boulangeries can be found in abundance on your doorstep! There are also department stores, gift shops in the Old Town and supermarkets in close proximity.
  • Local markets are held in the “Cours Saleya” in Old Nice, approximately 300 metres away.
  • Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there is golf, tennis, fishing, water sports and the beach, riding and roller blading. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
  • Beaches can be found very close-by on The Promenade des Anglais, just 500 metres away.
  • The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
  • Getting around is very easy from here - you have the train terminal in Nice, coaches which take you to many destinations including the airport, and a local bus network to explore the coast, towns and villages. A car is not required here.
  • Sightseeing is endless; you have the Old Town of Nice, The Port of Nice, The Promenade des Anglais, the towns of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cap Ferrat and its zoo, the perched village of Eze, the principality of Monaco and the Italian border town of Menton. It is also possible to cross over the border to experience a flavour of Italy!
  • Other entertainment includes shopping, casinos & nightlife, theatre, cinema, helicopter rides, boat trips, or just a good old day on the beach!

Facilities

 

  • Living room: is a huge open space! The lounge area is at one end, with a large sofa bed for 2 people, 2 chairs, TV, Video, DVD, Hi-Fi and a piano. There is also a dining table and chairs for 6 people next to the open plan kitchen.  At the other end there is an “internal garden” with seating and plants under the electrically operated glass roof, which slides open to the sky, and the stars at night.
  • Kitchen: is very stylish in white, with stainless steel appliances. There is an electric hob, oven, microwave, American style fridge-freezer with ice machine, dishwasher and coffee machine. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with stylish crockery and cooking utensils.
  • Utility room: is off the entrance hallway and has a washing machine, a dryer, a sink, an iron and ironing board.
  • Bedrooms: there is a double bedroom, which can be separated from the living room with a huge curtain. It has an en-suite bathroom and a doorway through to the hall. The second bedroom is at the rear of the property and has twin beds. There is additional sleeping either on the sofa bed in the living room or on the sofas in the relaxation room.
  • Bathrooms: there is a very stylish bathroom, en-suite to the double bedroom with a bath, shower over, hand basin and WC. There is also a shower room and separate WC opposite the twin bedroom.
  • Other rooms: there is a fantastic Moroccan themed relaxation room, with sofas and cushions all around, no windows and relaxing lighting. It has a home cinema with a screen, which lowers electrically! This room is also ideal for reading and entertaining.
  • Outside:  there is parking for 1 vehicle in the secured parking space underneath the apartment.
  • Swimming pool: is not available at this location, but there is a municipal pool in the area and the sea is very close by.
  • Internet: connection is available for your laptop.
  • Telephone: is available here.
  • Baby facilities: are not available here so it would be necessary to take a travel cot.
  • Winter heating: is included in the rental cost and this apartment also has air conditioning.
  • Gas, electric, & water: are all included in the rental cost.
  • End-of-stay cleaning: there is a charge of 48 Euros payable directly to the owners.
  • Bed & bathroom linen: are included in the rental cost.
  • Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. It has been included here in the rental cost.
  • Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 1000 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
  • Change over day: is normally a Saturday but the owners may be flexible upon request.
  • Long weekend stays: are not possible at this property – sorry.
  • Pets: are not permitted at this property - sorry.
  • Smoking: is not permitted inside this property – sorry.

 

How To Get There

 

  • By Car – The roads and autoroutes in France are a pleasure, so driving can sometimes make a good alternative to flying – at least you’ll already have your car with you! From the UK you have the choice of using the ferries or the Eurotunnel for your crossing. Once in the South of France, this property can be easily accessed from the centre of Nice.
  • By Air – Nice-Cote d’Azur is the nearest international airport - approximately 8 kilometres away. There are daily flights from the UK with British Airways, British Midland, Easyjet and Jet2. There are regular bus and train services from the airport to Nice town centre.
  • By Train – Eurostar runs from London to Paris city centres and then the high speed TGV service runs from Paris to Nice. The nearest train station to this property is Nice Gare Routiere, approximately 700 metres away.
