Apartment Hyacinthe
General Description
- A super 4-bedroom apartment within a Provencal villa with pool, which is located in a private residence in La Turbie, near to Monaco.
- The apartment forms the whole of the upper floor of the villa, and is approximately 220 sq metres. It comprises of a spacious living/dining room, well-equipped kitchen, cloakroom, 4 bedrooms, 3 bath/shower rooms, terraces and a balcony, a swimming pool, beautifully landscaped gardens and parking for several cars.
- There is also the option to rent the ground floor of the villa, which then makes the accommodation suitable for up to 14 people (please see “Villa Hyacinthe”).
- The apartment is in a peaceful location close to the village of La Turbie, and has quick and easy access to the A8 autoroute – ideally placed to visit Nice and Monaco.
- It would be perfect for a group of friends, or 2 families holidaying together.
The Local Area
- Local shops, restaurants, boulangeries and a small supermarket can be found approximately 800 metres away in the village of La Turbie.
- Local markets are also held in La Turbie.
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there is golf, tennis, fishing, bathing, horse riding, bowling, water sports and the beach.
- The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports! You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
- Sightseeing is endless; you are ideally placed to visit the most famous places on the Cote d’Azur. To the east there is Monaco, Cap Martin and the Italian border town of Menton. To the west you have the coastal towns of Nice, Antibes and Cannes. Further inland you can visit the delightful towns of Vence, St Paul de Vence, Valbonne, Biot and Mougins.
- Other entertainment includes the shopping, casinos & nightlife of Monaco; the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco; helicopter rides from Monaco; the Monaco Grand Prix; the palaces and museums of Monaco; Les Corniches; Eze village; Marineland water park near Antibes; the Old Town of Nice; The Promenade des Anglais; the Port of Nice; the zoo on Cap Ferrat and lots more!
Facilities
- Living room: is spacious, with sofas and a fireplace. There is a TV with international channels, a video, a DVD and a Hi-Fi. There are French doors leading out onto a large terrace furnished with wicker chairs & sofa.
- Dining room: is combined with the living room and has a table with 8 chairs. There is a spiral staircase leading up to a twin bedroom.
- Kitchen: is spacious and well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, American style fridge, freezer with ice machine, washing machine and dryer. There is also a barbeque on the terrace.
- Bedrooms: there is 1 double bedroom and 2 twin/double bedrooms on the same floor as the living area, plus a further twin bedroom up a spiral staircase from the dining room. The double bedroom has its own en-suite with a large shower area and washbasin.
- Bathrooms: in addition to the en-suite shower room there are 2 well-appointed bathrooms, which have a bath, WC, washbasin and bidet. There is also a separate WC in the hallway.
- Additional accommodation: there is the option to rent the ground floor of the villa, which then makes the accommodation suitable for up to 14 people (please see “Villa Hyacinthe”).
- Outside: The apartment is located within a private, secure estate and has its own beautiful 2500 sq metre gardens, planted with olive, rose, fig and almond trees. It also has a small Japanese garden. There are numerous terraces and balconies – one from the kitchen with dining table and chairs, one from the living room with lounge furniture and one from the twin bedroom upstairs. There is parking for many cars, secured with electric gates.
- Swimming pool: is approximately 12x7 metres (to its longest dimensions) with sun loungers for 12 people, and is shared with the ground floor apartment.
- Internet: connection is available for your laptop via Wi-Fi or ADSL.
- Telephone: is not available here –sorry.
- Baby facilities: there is a cot and high chair available upon request.
- Winter heating: is charged separately, based upon the number of guests (please ask for details).
- Gas, electric, & water: electricity and water are included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: is 350 Euros and is payable directly to the owner.
- Bed & bathroom linen: it is usual in France to take your own bedroom & bathroom linen with you, however it is possible to rent this from the owner at a price of 35 Euros per person, per week.
- Taxe de Sejour: in France, it is usual to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. At this property however it is not payable.
- Damage deposit: The owner requests a damage deposit of 1500 Euros on arrival and this will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Pets: are permitted upon request.
- Smoking: is not permitted here – sorry.
How To Get There
- By Car – The roads and autoroutes in France are a pleasure, so driving can sometimes make a good alternative to flying – at least you’ll already have your car with you! From the UK you have the choice of using the ferries or the Eurotunnel for your crossing. Once in the South of France, the villa can be easily accessed via the A8 autoroute.
- By Air – Nice-Cote d’Azur is the nearest international airport - approximately 25 kilometres away. There are daily flights from the UK with British Airways, British Midland, Easyjet and Jet2.
- By Train – Eurostar runs from London to Paris city centres and then the high speed TGV service runs from Paris to Nice.
