General Description
- This modern 1-bedroom apartment is located right in the town centre of Nice and has many shops & restaurants on its doorstep! It’s also not far from the old-town, the famous ‘Promenade des Anglais’ and the beaches. Recently renovated, it’s stylishly-furnished and has a pretty balcony with views over the streets below, where you can sit and watch the world go by. It makes a great place from which to base yourself whilst discovering the city of
- The apartment is approximately 35 sq metres and located on the 4th floor of a recently-renovated building (with lift). With air-conditioning and good double glazing for sound-proofing, it comprises a living/dining room, corner kitchen, independent shower room, one double bedroom and balcony.
- It’s in a great, central location and a car is definitely not required here – transfer from Nice-Cote d’Azur airport is very quick and easy.
- It has a maximum occupancy of 2-3 adults, or 2 adults with 2 children, and would be perfect for a business traveller, a couple or small group of friends wanting to explore Nice.
The Local Area
- Local shops, boulangeries and a supermarket can be found just 50 metres away and there's lots of restaurants right on your doorstep. There are also department stores and designer shops nearby and many gift shops in the nearby Old Town of Nice.
- Local markets are held in the “Cours Saleya” in Old Nice where there are antiques on a Monday and fresh flowers, fruit and fish from Tuesdays to Sunday.
- Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there’s golf, tennis, horse riding, fishing, water sports & the beach, jet skis, sailing and roller blading. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.
- Beaches can be found very close-by on the ‘Promenade des Anglais’ just 200 metres away.
- The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are approximately 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!
- Getting around is very easy from here – there's a bus stop just 20 metres away, then you have the new tram system through Nice and the main train terminal close by for trains along the coast. The local transport system is excellent and you can get to many destinations inexpensively, including the airport, along the coastline and inland to towns and villages. A car is definitely not required here.
- Sightseeing is endless; you have the Old Town of Nice, The Port of Nice, The Promenade des Anglais, the towns of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cap Ferrat and its zoo, the perched
- Other entertainment includes shopping, casinos & nightlife, theatre, cinema, helicopter rides, boat trips, or just a good old day relaxing on the beach.
Facilities
- Living room: is comfortably and stylishly furnished with a sofa (converts to double bed), flat-screen TV (French), Hi-Fi, DVD player, dining table and 4 chairs and has an air-conditioning unit and doors opening to balcony.
- Kitchen: is within the living room, modern & well-equipped with hob, hood, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine & kettle.
- Utility: washing machine can be found in the shower room and there's also an iron & ironing board.
- Bedrooms: one with a comfortable double bed (140cm wide), fitted wardrobes, a ceiling fan and good double-glazing for sound insulation. Additional sleeping can be found on the double sofa bed in the living room.
- Bathrooms: one shower room, located off the living room with shower cubicle, washbasin and WC.
- Outside: there's a lovely balcony furnished with good quality table & two chairs, with views over the town and the mountains beyond. There’s no parking place but a car is really not necessary from here.
- Swimming pool: is not available but then you do have the sea close by. There's a large, indoor municipal pool in Nice.
- Suitability note: this apartment’s located in the town centre so you may hear noises associated with the daily life - we do not believe however that this is obtrusive and there's good sound insulation.
- Internet: not available here, however there are many internet cafes around and some bars offer free Wi-Fi.
- Telephone: landline not available here – sorry.
- Baby facilities: baby cot is available upon request.
- Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 150 Euros on arrival. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
- Bed & bathroom linen: for the double bed and two people is included in the rental. Additional may be rented from the owner – please enquire. If you are staying for more than 1 week these are changed weekly.
- Electric & water: are included in the rental cost.
- Winter heating: if applicable is included in the rental cost.
- End-of-stay cleaning: has been priced separately, so that if you’re staying for more than 1 week you’re not paying in duplicate. It’s 40 Euros and is paid directly to the owner.
- Taxe de Séjour: in
- Change over day: normally a Saturday, however the owners may be flexible upon request.
- Long weekend stays: possible here with minimum stay of 4 nights - please ask for details.
- Pets: not permitted here – sorry.
- Smoking: not permitted in this property - sorry (balcony OK).
- Supplementary services: additional cleaning by prior request.
