About Joie De Vivre

Joie de Vivre, a specialist holiday property letting company, grew from a small but successful family holiday business that has been delivering memorable holidays for over 15 years.  Originally we were based in Provence and operated as Property Provencal but the company now has representatives in three areas across the South Of France.  Hence we changed the name of our business to Joie de Vivre Holidays.

Colin & HelenProvence is covered by Colin & Helen Bowles.  Their enthusiasm for the Luberon, Vaucluse and Alpilles regions was borne out of the fact that they were fortunate to have lived in Provence for a couple of years and know the region very well. Have a chat to either of them about the region and their passion and knowledge will I am sure rub off on you!

Paul RhodesThe Cote d'Azur region is looked after by Paul Rhodes.  After many an extended holiday there, Paul has developed a passion for the region over the years; the sunshine, the people, the culture, the sea, the mountains and the gastronomy all go together to make it a fantastic destination.  Speak to Paul and he'll be delighted to tell you more.

Sue CaddickSue Caddick joined Joie de Vivre in 2006 and looks after all our properties in Languedoc Roussillon, also known as Le Midi.  Sue has a much-loved second home in a village alongside the Canal du Midi and spends several happy weeks there each year searching for lovely properties to add to her growing portfolio. Sue knows the Languedoc region very well and would be delighted to talk to you about this stunning region of the South of France and offer any help or advice you might need.

Mike & MaggieBrigitta and Clement took over the responsibility for the Eastern part of Provence (Var department) in 2015. They have had their full-time home in the South of France for seven years, and are now building up their JDV portfolio to cater for all holiday needs in this traditional leisure area. But don't wait for them to bag the whole patch before you book: take a look now at the short but select list already on offer between the foothills of the Alps and the endless Mediterranean coastline. Then call them during their sun-downer, or at any other time, to discuss where you should be spending your next holiday!

In effect, Joie de Vivre has the advantage of an administrative base in the UK that takes care of all the paperwork, whilst our local expertise and knowledge ensures that your holiday runs smoothly.

We have carefully built up, and are continuing to build, a portfolio of local property and we know all of our owners and their properties individually.  We then act on your behalf, taking care of all the legal and contractual aspects of renting a house in France. This provides both you and the owner with peace of mind.

All of our properties are selected for the details that we know are important to holidaymakers. They are all based in four regions; Provence, Provence East (Var) the Cote d'Azur and the Languedoc Roussillon.  All these areas rich in both beauty and variety; from local vineyards, beautiful coastlines, historic sites, local markets to picturesque villages and of course, a fantastic variety and quality of food and wine.

In all the regions, Joie de Vivre have specialists available to you; people who intimately know the area and have a passion for their particular region.

We would always encourage you to talk to us before you book.

Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our very best to match your requirements with exactly the type of property and the location you are looking for.
